If you guys haven't listened to Aurora's album What Happened To The Heart? You DEFINITELY should. Both of these pieces are inspired by songs from it, and the feelings they give me. Lyrics included will be under the cut. This took me weeks to complete and it's got to be my favorite painting I've ever done!! I feel like I absolutely nailed the vibes here <3

Lol being offline for a week was great, actually. Genuinely, it helped nourish and restore my hope.
I was getting caught up in doomscrolling, and sometimes when that happens, you need to take a break to focus on what’s in front of you - your friends, your family, your health, your community, the plants in your yard, the neighbors on your street. Which all still reassure me there is good in the world, even in the face of all the horror and bullshit
A couple of years ago we were all terribly concerned about the fact that a lot of American high schools are assigning such crushing homework loads that some kids literally don't have enough time to eat or sleep (and all this in spite of the fact that there's no good evidence that assigning homework actually improves academic outcomes at the pre-university level), but now we're hearing stories about those same schools struggling to stop kids from using ChatGPT to write their essays and suddenly It's The Children Who Are Wrong. Like, do you think maybe there's a certain level of cause and effect in play here?
