The artist later tells his friends of the joke he has played upon the woman. They make merry over the flowing bowl. Returning home , Daub tumbles into bed. The Zulu comes to life and carries Daub away to Africa. There, Bobo, the fattest female in the tribe, falls in love with the artist. To save his life, Daub consents to marry her. Bobo's other suitors intervene, announcing that Daub must fight them before he can wed her. The painter chances to find a mouth organ in his pocket. Seized with an inspiration, he plays a ragtime tune. All commence dancing. Bobo becomes furiously jealous when she sees other maidens of the tribe falling in love with her fiancé. The woman approaches Daub with blood in her eye. In desperation, Daub seizes a war club and strikes right and left. At this moment, Mrs. Lubbs and several policemen, attracted by the noise, enter the room. Dreaming he is being attacked by Zulus, the painter fights furiously. A hard fall awakens him. Perceiving the damage he has done, he raises his right hand and solemnly vows, "Never again." Written by
