Bought this after playing Sherwood. I enjoyed this a lot but I wish you had made more screens for it. I love the art style and game mechanics of GriffonSoft. It's fun to see your progression from this to Sherwood and I really hope you create another game in this style.
Hello, in my last issue of Retro News Flash, I covered the game Musketeer and ran a short report on it. It´s a really great game, I really liked it. All the best from Magisthan´s Spielekiste. 🙂
One for all and all for one! Beautiful atmosphere.Together with the download you get a printable cover and floppy sticker with a great artwork. I really hope there will be a second part - maybe taking place in Bois de Boulogne. No need to change anything, game is perfect - just more please ;-)
Awesome game with beautiful graphics and lovingly designed animations. The only downside is the relatively short playing time. Our German-language review can be found in our recorded livestream starting at 00:52:12 and there is a longplay at 06:28:19. English subtitles are also available. Subscription to our YouTube and Twitch channel is welcome. 🙂
Great game, the animations are superb! I would have preferred though if the dagger throwing enemies were a bit easier and the game longer. I'm also wondering if slowing the sword animations down a bit (so that we have time to react), but making the enemies more aggressive would result in more "swashbuckling" duels?
Really nice game! Question: is there something special you should do to get the horse moving? I had to sacrifice a life to cross the fire while blinking because the horse is just standing there. I saw on youtube the horse can move to assist getting the lantarn.
We have just finished producing the print files - Sorry about the delay! /Dennis G
(Also if you want to spoil your fun, there are some youtubers who show the way to do it. (Though I would recommend looking for it yourself as part of the exploration, but you're the boss of you. :) It is not complicated once you figure it out. You just need to find an item and walk over it to collect it. - Thank you for playing!
Hab mir das Game gestern gekauft und konnte es schon heute komplett durchspielen. Wirklich schön gemacht mit ein paar kniffligen Screens. So macht Spielen am C64 Spass
Technically is perfect. I loved it. But is too easy and too too short. 15/20 min needed to finish it in the third play when you take control of the game. More levels and puzzles would be nice to complete the game.
I just completed Musketeer and I have to tell you—this game is a bite-sized masterpiece! Bravo sirs! Everything about it was sheer perfection. I just hope you guys see fit to bring us a sequel at some point.
Thanks for the info. Would be nice to consider a save feature or something like that for future cart releases of other games. That is one thing that is ideal on cart, especially for games that take a while to play.
Nice game but the disk image confused me a bit: I can load the menu then I have the option to load the loader pic OR the game. If I load the loader pic then I have to reset and start all over to be able to load the game. Am I missing something? I would expect that the game would start after the loader pic is displayed.

Hey, I hope you don't mind, but I placed your awesome game into the best C64 homebrew games of 2025.

Looks awesome! What engine did you use?
ill have to buy this games soon looks good
Fantastic game
First new game I've purchased for my Commodore 128D since 1989. It looks and sounds beautiful and plays smoothly. 5/5! ❤️
Wondering where the number of lives is decremented so I can replace it with a nop? ;-)

Hint from the game instruction manual "Clues from the queen" page:
"A horse that's free to move might need some m-oat-ivation."
Thanks Dennis, will try! I can't find that hint in the instructions.txt that came with the download. Where can I find the game instruction manual?
A .pdf of the full game manual + recordings of the game soundtracks will be added to the download bundle later this week.

A demo file fot C64 Masters is a must to share.
Very good ! The gametime (once mastered) of 20 minutes is perfect, just like Bruce Lee. Great release.
Awesome work! As a tribute, here’s my longplay.

Hear hear!
Does the cartridge version have any special features? Can you save the game for example?
There are no extra features on the cart version apart from the convenience of almost instant loading

GOTY 2025 IMO

No, the loader pic is a bonus extra with the .d64 - which is why the disk menu is there.
This is how things are since years :)
Para mi obra maestra y buen juego sobre los 3 mosqueteros, espero nuevos proyectos tan apasionantes coml este.....GRACIAS
Fantastic game! The sound effects remind me of the old Videopac...love it.
Excellent game! Feels like Pitfall and Prince of Persia. Great tunes as well!
Beautiful work <3 this reminds me of DataSoft's Zorro!
Been waiting for this one! God I LOVE getting new, quality C64 releases even after 43 years!
Awesome game!
That cover artwork is banging!
