SUPPORT NEEDED FOR OUR SURVIVAL IN GOROM REFUGEE SETTLEMENT CAMP 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Hello friends,

I share this message with a heavy heart from Gorom Refugee Settlement Camp, South Sudan, where my community and I are struggling every single day to survive. Life here has become unbearable. Each sunrise is a reminder that we face hunger, thirst, and sickness with little hope of relief.

We have no stable access to food, and most days we sleep on empty stomachs. The little we find is never enough to feed children, elders, and the sick among us. Clean drinking water is a dream, and without it, diseases spread quickly. Many of us fall ill, but with no proper medical supplies, even treatable illnesses become life-threatening.

Shelter is another desperate need. We live under weak and broken structures that cannot protect us from the harsh rains or the burning sun. Nights are cold and unsafe, and each storm washes away what little we have.

We are refugees here because we were forced to flee persecution and violence in our home countries. Yet even in safety, we are denied the basic human needs of food, medicine, shelter, and water. We are not asking for luxury — only the essentials to survive with dignity.
