a scientific list as to why taxi driver is one of the best kdramas ever made:
- the main cast has not changed for three seasons so you can actually see their character arcs and growth
- the cases wrap up within 2-4 episodes with satisfactory endings so you are never left in limbo
- the cast is dedicated to their roles aka they don't half ass action scenes
- the scriptwriter has remained the same for 95% of the series
- the cinematography is not cheap and takes the time to be engaging
- the ambience is dark and noir-esque but still has comedic beats
- the characters are well written with good background stories and justifications for their actions
- criminals and evil people don't get fake ass redemption or half baked punishments; they are brutally targeted and attacked for what evil they do
- sex traffickers get shot in the dick and gunned down
- real life cases from south korea that get better endings than they did in real life because the show bypasses the shitty and corrupt judicial systems
- villains that actually just aren't evil for funsies
- romantic hints between a main couple that actually care about each other
- found family that would gun people down for each other while getting the other out safely
- female characters who are strong but also have emotions
- male characters who are strong but also have emotions
- a main theme song OST that makes you feel like you too could engage in a car chase
- a plot that makes you believe that yes, there can be justice in this world and that good people do exist somewhere
bringing this back since season 3 just ended and truly:
