The best part about vigcup is that Hiccup has very obvious and extreme daddy issues so pairing him off with a man almost twice his age who likes to praise him is going to have fun effects on him psychologically. I need to crack his head open like a walnut and write a case study on him.

you are so right and you should say it<3

Everyone on this post is correct.

Toothless, at every bad guy he and Hiccup face: You're lucky I don't shoot you where you stand. But my friend here is squeamish.

You know I’m fr back in the httyd trenches bc I am at risk of writing a gotnf fanfic for the first time since winter 2011/2012

Well, uh... here you go?

i wanna be with you everywhere (5304 words) by Astrid_Goes_For_A_Spin Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: How to Train Your Dragon (Animated Movies) Rating: General Audiences Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III & Toothless Characters: Toothless (How to Train Your Dragon), Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III Additional Tags: Short Film: Dragons: Gift of the Night Fury (2011), POV Toothless (How to Train Your Dragon), Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III & Toothless Friendship, Disabled Toothless, Canon Disabled Character, Character Study, it's a Toothless POV for GotNF my friends, but through a disability lens, Disability Theory, Disability, Physical Disability, care relationship, stealing exactly one good idea from, Episode: s01e03 Animal House (Dragons: Riders of Berk), and ignoring the rest, Language Barrier, Canon Compliant

Summary:

The morning dawns and when it does, Toothless realizes he has a problem. Overnight, the fresh new fin Hiccup made for him has frozen together in the closed position.

He tries to open his tail, but he can’t, the little yellow teeth on the edge of it keeping him from moving.

He swings his head around, looking for Hiccup, because things like this have happened before, and Hiccup can always fix it, before he remembers that Hiccup is not here.

Toothless left him behind.

Toothless is alone.

---

A character study contemplating realistic disability reasons why Toothless might dislike the automatic tail Hiccup makes him in GotNF.

I had the absolute honor of binding this HTTYD fic by who_is_sabrina! It's one of my absolute favorite fics, and I was positively delighted that the author was okay with me binding it for my personal bookshelf! I'm still very new to this, so it is by no means perfect, but overall I'm really happy with it! I am also not a photographer, professional or otherwise lol.

The fic is It Could Be Worse by who_is_sabrina, and I cannot recommend it enough!!

And here she is! Like I said, she's not perfect, but I love her anyway - and I am so excited and proud and honored to have this amazing fic on my bookshelf!!

I used the off-white 24gsm short-grain bookbinding paper from Church Papers, and I did not trim the pages because I have always adored books with uneven edges - any time I see an edition of a book with that stylistic choice, I jump on it! Like my best friend says, a book with trimmed pages is a book. A book with untrimmed pages is a TOME.

I used Garamond 11.5 font for the body of the text, and Leander for the title and headings. The spine is cotton fabric backed with tissue paper and the cover itself is wrapped with specialty scrapbook paper from my local craft shop. I opted for a distressed paper label because (1) I adore that classic look, and (2) I do not have the equipment or the money for said equipment to do HTV (and the gold foil and heat pen are not for me lol).

Another commission done for the amazing @rachelteazer

This commission cost $45, and if anyone is interested in commissions feel free to DM me.

Look at this amaaaaaazing art that I commissioned for my Hiccup/Omega story!

It's the only fic on AO3 that crosses HTTYD with Star Wars: The Bad Batch (how crazy is that??). Anyway Hiccup and Omega are suuuuper cute together, and thank you so much for this art!
