Yeah, I'm 100% sure that "she lived her life as a man" means that she was acting 'manly' because she would not give into the social pressure of becoming a 24/7 housemaid to an ungrateful husband, serving him & going through the body horror of bearing ten children. She probably found a way to sustain her own life as a gnc woman, maybe even had to hide her own identity at some point, just in order to be safe.

Women are not considered human beings because society reduces us to our female biology and reproductive capacity. We don't want to be reduced to our sex, we demand to be treated with equity: same rights, more medical researches about our biology, etc . Men can be feminine and women can be masculine, but that doesn't change the fact that our oppression is rooted in biology, not gender.

It's interesting how there are way more TIMs than TIFs in US administration, on TV, and in series. Their mental and physical health get prioritized over TIFs'.
