Although I generally prefer when humans and digimon form partnerships by choice and aren't tied together by some higher force, I'm also very fond of the soulmate type approach and Beatbreak's whole mirror image thing is really nice. However this type of approach always comes with the very unfortunate consequence of most people in the fandom treating the digimon as nothing but an extension of their partners and only ever paying attention to what they say about the human they're matched with, never who they are as individuals.

(Just a bunch of pointless ranting I had sitting in my drafts, I apologize in advance)

The new episode of Digimon Beatbreak was AMAZING 😭😭😭😭

I really loved this mini-arc and what it did with the characters, and while I'm still a bit unsure about the Digimon as reflections of their human partners' souls, I really liked how it was implemented and executed in these episodes, with Makoto and Haruko getting to accept and love their Digimon, and in that away, accept and love themselves.

Do you think Seraphimon worries about his armor poking Cherubimon and Magnadramon/Holydramon? Do you think once the archangel brings it up the other two just go "You're fine Seraphimon," and put a paw each on his helmeted face?

I'm so sorry for being late, but I hope you know that that is so freaking cute and I have not stopped thinking about this for days

i'll probably be asking this to a lot of people but what did you think of the handling of the other Aegiochusmon forms? Especially the dark one

THANK YOU A LOT FOR SENDING AN ASK!!! I'm sorry for making you wait so much!

TIME STRANGER SPOILERS

Read only after finishing the game (or at least, after reaching the final dungeon!)

I definitly think they could have been used more!

Aegiochusmon Red is the only one that we actually see in the main story for a while, during all the human world section at the middle of the game. However, after that's over and we enter the second half of the main story, the Hosts just give Aegiomon an item to start already evolved in that form, and we only see him in battle...

Then Aegiochusmon Blue and Green only appear briefly once Aegiomon unlock them, and are not referenced at all in the main story. Aegiomon receives their items and that's sit. I didn't like that. I wish we could have seen them more. I guess they didn't want to force the Player to use only one evolution in battle, but even then, Aegiomon could have evolved for scenes...

I have actually seem many people complaining about how Aegiochusmon Dark was underused, as we only see him in one single scene... but we don't even get an scene for Holy, just a beautiful explanation of the item that makes Aegiomon evolve into this form and its connection with Inori. But he doesn't evolve in the scene, you need to equip him with the item. So, in theory, you could finish the game without ever seeing or using Holy, I think. (It's very unlikely, but possible)

I do agree that Aegiochusmon Dark should have had something more, though... maybe a boss fight after crossing the portal made by Junomon, just before the big critical reveal...? that distorted passage where Dan hears the multiple Aegiomon looking for Inori, trying to save her, screaming her name in despair... a symbolic fight of Dan against Aegiomon's despair, maybe with some lights helping him and representing the Olympos... after all, Mirei did comment that saving the Apostles of Illiad could help Aegiomon not to succumb to despair.

But it's not something that I totally hate, given that we have been seeing Aegiochusmon Dark a lof of times during the game, just hidden in the form of the Shadow.

Main story Aegiomon being unable to evolve into his Aegiochusmon Dark form for battle is understandable. There's no reason for him to do it, considering its meaning and the fact that by that point in the game Aegiomon has embraced the future with hope thanks to Inori and Dan.

Spoiler Vibes kinda

I see so much people not caring about Dan (and Kanan) and the last reveals of Time Stranger and i feel the thing is that most of the playerbase indeed just see him as their silent self-insert (and i mean that's generally true BUT-- turned out it's not true exactly either!) so they didn't really invest a lot into him

Meanwhile I think I made the effort of distinguing himself from me the player, to acknowledge his individuality as a character and think about him..., which then evolved into making my own headcanons of his life relationships and feelings while he was experiencing the story and everything that happened--

So to sum up he became my baby and I cried a lot for him (not everything was positive btw I remember a couple of moments where I actually hated him for some stuff with the Operator but his answer to all of that moved me so much and I love him and Inori and Aegiomon a lot)

This is my first post. I came to this site to share some art I've been wanting to share, but was too embarrassed to do so. This is a bit of an old art. I love them so much though. I got kind of emotional making this. They're all grown up :')
