Bet, it’s not just that Shane is dreading having to come out to his parents. Wilhelm beleives in gohsts because he has spent so much time in ancient houses holding the bones of his ancestors. I think with the shadow his lineage casts over his life it would be easy for him to accept ghosts. But I think he has a very solomn and detatched view, a quiet respect whilst paying little attention to the shivers in the night, or odd lights cast through windows.
Simon on the other hand? He is to pragmatic for ghosts. He believes in himself and doesnt need the influence of others, so doesn’t tap into the idea that other people leave a presence like that. This does not stop him from getting spooked. He postures all strong and unbothored but the unexplain slamming of a door and you bet he is squeezing Wille’s hand real tight, whilst refusing to make eyecontact or admit anythin.
