havent you ever heard not to bite the hand that adds the garlic
not caring if people think you’re stupid is a life hack. recognising that you are kind of stupid is an even bigger life hack. we build entire societies to take care of each other bc we’re all kind of stupid. it’s fine.
“why did you write that”
- my fetish
- my friend’s fetish
- not my fetish but it fits in the story so i threw it in there as a treat. you’re welcome.
4. the character’s fetish and i’m committed to portraying them with absolute accuracy
as a lover of Women Fighting & Killing media it’s so important to me when they actually let the women look like shit. you know what i mean. like im so bored when a woman is in what’s supposed to be a brutal fight and her hair is just aesthetically tousled or something and her makeup is still pristine. fuck offfff. if she’s beating the shit out of someone and fighting for her life she should be covered in blood n bile she should look like she got hit by a truck and the truck exploded
i don’t support all women’s rights & wrongs some of you are terfs
exactly
at the vet because apparently tylenol decided to eat a joint
she’s going to be ok she’s just high as fuck
Movement nudge! Just do something!
Not gonna lie. Everytime I see her face on my insta feed, I immediately get up and do something. She has me trained.
this is how i feel when ppl say genshin has diverse body types sorry
Extremely excellent, very very very autistic quote from Brennan Lee Mulligan:
“Curiosity is love for the world, and when you love something, you want to get to know it more. So when you share facts about crows or pterodactyls or whatever, what you are expressing is gratitude for the ability to exist in and come to understand the beauty of the world around you.”
“When you tell someone that you don’t like all the crow facts, you’re…
"You’re actually saying that you hate me. I am my crow facts.”
This guy knew what he was talking about
There are gonna be people who won’t like hearing this but if you want to live in a world where mixed marriages, families, and adoptions (particularly POC adopting outside their “race”) aren’t maligned and discriminated against, then you have got to get more chill about seeing someone partaking in something cultural that you don’t think fits the “race” you perceive them as.
It’s a vague memory now, it was a vague memory even at the time I made this post, but I think what sparked this was remembering stupid comments I saw about a Chinese-American cookbook that were complaining about it being written by a white woman and then I looked the white woman up and the briefest research showed she was adopted as a child into a Chinese-American family and just….
*pinches nose*
Fellas, is it cultural appropriation to inherit your family’s culture but you don’t pass the blood quantum test?
All of you are literally just racist. You’ve come full-circle. You’re working under the belief that people are supposed to “keep to their own kind” and that means the socially invented concept of “race”, and “race mixing” of any sort is unnatural.
Putting this in a separate reblog because it involves fictional media but it was still implying a messed up worldview….
This reminded me of a post I saw about someone theorizing what MCU Morgan Stark’s middle name was because we just knew her middle initial was “H” and they considered that the namesake might be Yinsen Ho but they didn’t want to believe that because it would be, quote, “cultural appropriation”.
Cultural appropriation. To name your child after someone you personally knew and was very important to you.
Don’t you know it’s unnatural for someone of a different race to be important to you? The races are not supposed to mix!
It’s literally just racism. Why do people think they’re being anti-racist activists by being some of the highest level of racist?
Yeah this trend has been gaining strength for years of “the races shouldn’t mix (but in a Marx honoring way)” and it’s seriously fuckin concerning.
Cultural appropriation is stealing something from another culture that they’re not happy to share and then passing it off as your own (and generally benefiting from it in a way that diverts those benefits away from the source culture).
Cultural appropriation is NOT enjoying things from other cultures that they’re happy to share, it’s NOT mutual cultural exchange between friends, and it’s DEFINITELY NOT inheriting your own culture no matter what you look like you absolutely fuckwaffles
was reminded of that youtube channel that records footage of that bridge that scalps trucks today. one of the fascinating developments that’s happened since i last heard about it is that, in one of their many attempts to stop the trucks from being can-opened, they installed a traffic light that detects when a vehicle that’s over the allowed height is coming and turns red so the driver can stop and hopefully notice the signage all around that’s screaming “YOUR VEHICLE IS OVERHEIGHT TURN AROUND” and avoid an accident. However as a result sometimes drivers see the light turning yellow and IMMEDIATELY start flooring it to avoid having to stop, ensuring that the roof of their truck just gets fucking annihilated instantly. Really beautiful stuff you should check it out
the comments have me in tears
It DOES have a sign. It turns on when it detects something too tall for the bridge. It even flashes. And the traffic lights will go red to get people to stop when it detects an over height vehicle so they read the signs. (note this lovely example where the lights are red, because the truck thought it was better than the lights)
every time I see this post I’ve forgotten how clearly signposted the canopener bridge is, and every time it hits me like a truck (hitting the canopener bridge and getting the top of its trailer ripped asunder)
Shit used to be wild, and this is just what I could find that had decent sources, I’ve heard a lot more horror stories.
I’m not excited to live in a word without regulation. 🙃
“Regulations don’t exist because governments enjoy them” is an important statement here. The government has to spend money and labor to enforce regulations. The government has to be begged for years and sometimes threatened by the American people into even creating the regulations. The people with the money want you to believe regulations are “BIG GOVERNMENT INFRINGING ON OUR FREEDOMS” so you’ll help them undo the regulations your grandparents had to force that same government to install in the first fucking place. They count on you being ignorant of the past so they can make another round of dirty money by poisoning you all over again.
Every. Regulation. Is. Written. In. Blood.
