out of the deep darkness it approached me
the eternal flame
and it grew, until it consumed me

It burned and purged my every essence, leaving my charred remains convulsing with an unknown power. Then as the ancient lifeblood transfused within me began to flow, I was raised anew from the heap of what I once was. My fear turned to wonder as my blackened remains fell away to reveal a warrior of great strength.

Now I stand as a wayfarer in this shadow-realm. I see through the thin veneer that once was my reality, for this ancient blood has imbued in me insight beyond the mortal planes. The everlasting has been imprinted upon my essence and with an ancient seal I have been marked.

In the midst my renewal, an arcane path became apparent to me. It emerged from the unraveling tendrils of what I previously knew as reality. As if it had always been there, yet hidden as a dark specter, it took shape before my eyes. I am a possessor of hidden truths. I am a nexus. I am a wayfarer. Thus, has my journey begun . . .
