Renny/Ren | Mid 20’s| I draw little guys

Hi! I go by Renny or Ren and this is my blog for assorted art and annecdotes.

My pronouns here are She/her, or whatever you want to use. As long as you're respectful, it's fine.

I only post occasionally and don't really like to reblog much rn, Sorry.

I'm working on getting some other side blogs for specific projects going, so look out for that.

Asks and drawing requests are always open as long as you keep it SFW. If I don't want to answer, I just won't.

I'm some variation of Rennysance most places I have an account, sometimes Singinggrape. I'm only active on here right now, but check out my Instagram for older art.

I try to keep this blog friendly for everyone and will block anything too dirty or hateful in any way. I will also never post or reblog anything 18+. I'm also very against generative AI.

Some of the fandom content I look at is from tADC, Bee and Puppy Cat, Ut/Dr, One Piece, and TMNT.

My tags are #paper dog and #rennythoughts

Anyway, welcome!

Is feeling confused about your own skillset just part of being a 20-something?

Like I've been DOING THINGS for a couple decades now. I must have a few skills to offer. But when I try to think of them, I draw a blank. Like beyond just traits of your personality. Actual talents and abilities.

My theory is that, when you're a kid, you learn and try a lot of things. You're bad at many of them. You maybe don't care though because you don't NEED to be good at them. Then you're a teen and you get really good at a couple things. They're what you're known for. For me, that was writing, art, and doing well in school. But once you're an adult, those things don't always apply to jobs or you just don't have the energy or creativity or fervor for your specialties anymore. Or it turns out you weren't as good as you thought.

Throwback to that time at Six Flags when my dad wouldn't let me get a snapback hat at the gift shop. He said caps with flat brims were for Black people. It's taken me like fifteen years to get that misinformation out of my head. Still don't have my hat.

Many birds have a bone called the keel, which runs the length of their body. Many boats have a part called the keel, which runs the length of their body. Coincidence? I think not.

I don't run a blog. I check on this thing once in a while, like someone trying to grow a chia pet, but aware of the whole "watched pot never boils" thing. Water it with a post whenever the vibes feel off. That sort of thing.
