Some detail shots of the berry wizard and its chompers!
The berry seed effect involved painting the berries with red underglaze and carving seeds before the first firing, then painting them with yellow underglaze and sponging it off. They came out nicely to humor my efforts.

João’s apt. in Brazil, you know it’s something special. He has named it the “portal of good energies.”
His favorite subjects to paint are large colorful snakes with big eyes. (The walls in the hall are one long snake on each.)
I’ve noticed that in lots of Brazilian apts. people put hammocks across the glass doors to their terraces, which is a lovely idea.
He painted suns around the lights on the ceiling.

João says that his previous apt. was much different. He moved into this one at the start of the pandemic and began to paint it.
His bed has a painted sun for a headboard.
He uses green tape to display his smaller paintings on the closet doors.
His own, bold art makes his white apt. so much more livelier.
I 🖤 this poem - over a thousand years old, written by a Saxon walking through the bones of a ruined city (probably Bath) & imagining who built it. The people we wonder about who lived & died millennia ago also wondered about the people who lived & died millennia before them
