Workshop: Writing a Strong Research Proposal

The Writing a Research Proposal Workshop is designed to help students prepare a strong, successful research proposal for their summer research fellowship applications. Attendees will learn the basics of writing a research proposal, review previously funded proposals, and get answers to their questions.   Topics covered include getting a head start on defining a research question, developing a project plan, creating a realistic budget, and setting a project timeline. Friday High-Five with PDO: Finding Funding: Strategies and Approaches

We’ll cover available tools, resources, strategies and helpful tips for finding suitable funding opportunities for your research.   Presented by Lou Hurst.  This is part of "Friday High-Five with PDO," the Proposal Development Office's weekly workshop series. On Fridays at 11:00 a.m. PDO shares up-to-date guidance, advice, and tips for developing competitive grant proposals. Each session will consist of a 30-minute training followed by 15-minute dedicated Q&A. You will learn five key takeaways to help your proposal writing and development.

Funding Fridays: Explore Undergraduate Research Funding Opportunities

The Office of Undergraduate Research's Funding Fridays are a monthly drop-in and work session space for undergraduate students to get information about funding programs and applying for student research funding (fellowships, grants, travel funding, etc).

Join UK Libraries in The Stacks for snacks and giveaways and to learn about the services on offer from Digital Scholarship & Data as well as the datasets that that the Libraries make available to patrons.   The Stacks is located on the ground floor of the King Library Annex. The entrance is on the south side of the building. The King Library Building is located in the central campus, south of Patterson Drive and west of Rose Street, between the Lucille Caudill Little Fine Arts Library and Pence Hall.
