So. Sanders Sides as part of the brain. Let's talk about it.

Foreword: I am a 2nd year psych major that is just making connections between my classes and sanders sides. ALSO the brain is a complex and multi-faceted machine. Very few parts of the brain have MEMORY and THATS IT. Yk? For example, emotion is expressed in almost all parts of the forebrain (big main brain you imagine when you think "brain")

Let's get started.

Logan and Roman share the frontal lobes, with Logan taking most of the reigns and Roman only inhabiting some parts of the frontal lobe. (That's right. Logan and Roman are both left and right brained.)

The frontal lobe controls language, planning, reasoning, (some emotions in Broca's area) and "higher processing". Think of the frontal lobe as the brain's CEO; often calming the amygdala (Virgil) and filtering impulses through reasoning and social understanding.

Though Roman and Remus exist within the frontal lobe, I want you to think of it as mostly Logan.

Next we have Patton and Virgil in the Limbic system. Virgil specifically in the Amygdala, a small grape-like structure within the Limbic system.

The Limbic system is mainly involved in mediating memory and emotional response. It is made up of three parts.

The Amygdala: Emotions, memory, fear, and anxiety.

The Hippocampus: Learning and Memory.

And the Hypothalamus: Regulation of body temp, appetite, and blood pressure.

(Basically the Hypothalamus explains why Patton is the main side able to cook)

An interesting part of the relationship between the Frontal lobe and the Amygdala is that it often is the one to help calm the Amygdala down in times of high stress (similarly to how Logan and Roman seem to have a friendly calming effect on Virgil at times.)

Bonus: Remy is the Reticular formation within the midbrain.

I hope this was fun and interesting! I couldn't quite find a place for Janus, but I would imagine he would inhabit some part of the midbrain since he function's as a sort of self preservation.
