Is there any masculine haircut that looks good on straight, flat hair? Cuts that work well on curly hair look bad on straight hair because the texture doesn't support it, and cuts that are specifically designed to work with straight hair are evidently all either ugly, high-maintenance, or both.

That's the "high-maintenance" straight hair. Now we wait for someone to suggest a haircut that is both high maintenance and ugly, and we have the whole set.
Just grow a long ponytail dude. If you wash your hair regularly you won't look like a neckbeard.
Or you could always just buzz it really short.
Long hair doesn't work because my hairline is disagreeing with me about where it's supposed to be, and "balding guy with a ponytail" isn't a look I could pull off, any more than being shaved bald.
My hair is the least-bad part of my appearance, and generally removing the best part of something never improves the whole. It'd be less like clipping off a peacock's tail, and more like cutting off an ostrich's legs.
Textured crop, while only showing up as non straight hair in searches, does look good with straight hair
