PSA to artists on DeviantArt
DeviantArt announced their own AI model that is to be trained on artworks ALREADY uploaded to the platform. You can opt your artworks out one by one, but by default they are included in the data set!!!
I'd recommend opting-out with all your artworks ASAP if you don't want to contribute and letting DeviantArt know you're not happy with their decision.

And it’s as bad as you might expect.
Just went through and manually deleted all 100+ of my art uploads. Wasn’t too bad since I hadn’t updated the site in 5 years anyway.
Man, this really is a week for narrowing in on what energy I am willing to expend to maintain an online presence. Kind of freeing to be cutting a bunch of fat, or at least, viewing it that way helps me overlook the anxiety of how much harder it is going to be to get by as an independent artist!!
