“I’m wearing a romper from Fashion Brand Company with a vintage lace skirt, striped tights from Snag Tights and a blue flower chain mail top from Depop. Lately I’m inspired by pushing boundaries and making clothes do things they’re not meant to do. I’m also always inspired by other plus size influencers I see online.”

Ousmane Sembène (1923–2007) was a Senegalese filmmaker, writer, and revolutionary artist, often called the 'father of African cinema.' Through novels and films like Mandabi and La Noire de..., he told African stories for African people — refusing to center Europe in his work. His art fought colonialism, injustice, and cultural erasure, making him a voice of liberation for the continent.
