lowkey children are right about homework
when an adult says "i did work for eight hours starting at 7am i shouldnt have to answer emails at home" people clap about how relatable it is but when a kid says "i did work for eight hours starting at 7am i shouldnt have homework" people start going on about the importance of academics and calling them a delinquent brat
#homework is legitimately so evil and i'm not kidding#especially for classes in high school that are the more advanced classes like honors or AP#where students are going to school and being taught content#and then going home and being told to READ MORE CONTENT and learn it on their own#because the thing with AP courses was that there was TOO MUCH FUCKING CONTENT to learn entirely in class during the school day#i do think that for certain subjects like math the best way to learn a subject is to practice what you learned in class#by putting it down on paper#but theres so much busy work and learning new shit and bonus shit that has nothing to do with what you learned during the day#multiply that by seven or eight classes and take into consideration that some students will get jobs (out of necessity in some cases)#they have no free time whatsoever#and im sorry but not wanting to sit down and do more work after waking up at six in the morning to go to school for eight hours#should not make you fail in school#i can not tell you how many times there were classes i would have had PERFECT grades in#were it not for the 0s that went in the grade book for homework i did not do

napping during the day when you didn't get enough sleep the night before is always a trap and you should not fall for it unless you are willing to be asleep for several hours to feel better. you go "oooh i'll just take a lil thirty minute nap to get back on my feet" but then thirty minutes pass and you're still tired (because you're trying to make up for sleep you didn't get the night before, not just refresh your energy) and you go "ooh okay maybe another half hour" and this cycle repeats itself until you either stop (still tired) or several hours have passed (you won't' get to bed on time that night and the cycle continues)

I am OBSESSED with people telling me how they met the love of their life. Just found out my director met his wife through a misdirected email - that’s fate right there.

i genuinely encourage non black people to engage with this, who might be worried they can't because of the word "nigga" because they feel like it's overstepping. the only way it would be overstepping is saying it to me when ur not black, but please don't be afraid to engage with black art.
i kinda get annoyed when non black people police other non blacks on how to engage with black culture because it creates a problem where non black people avoid us all together which can be extremely isolating and create even MORE tension and overall being uneducated.
