Anyone interested in being science/educational communicator should read Glyn Parry's "Arch Conjurer of England." I have never read a more well researched, yet unreadably dense, pop-history text.
Hello! I’m your (very late) secret Santa!
Wanted to draw some girls being sweet, hope you enjoy!
flipercat asked:
Wait, is Ushabti Omnigun just Magic Missile?
vexwerewolf answered:
No it’s the Ushabti Omnigun
The Gandiva is the magic misisile
shokuto asked:
Random question. You think if Superman were ever fairly convicted of a crime, that he would accept the verdict and allow himself to be put in custody?
deacblues answered:
I think he would! While this does sound like the premise of a silver age Superman story, I couldn’t actually find one after five minutes of searching. Instead, I spent 20 minutes making this stupid drawing:
Superman’s stance on law enforcement has shifted over the years, but I think that, were he tried and convicted fairly, he’d abide by the verdict. The only exception I could think of is if he were tried for something like vigilantism. He is breaking some laws just by operating as Superman (though I’m sure plenty of stories have tackled that contradiction).
Mostly I’m just going off the ending of Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?, where Supes strips himself of his powers for breaking his own moral code. “Nobody has the right to kill… Especially not Superman!” He has a track record of holding himself responsible for his mistakes; It seems like the Supermanly thing to do.
Apparently ICE now has agents posing as utility workers to get into people's homes. The electric and gas companies have posted information on how to tell if it's one of their workers, and numbers to call to confirm whether they've sent someone to do utility work on your house.
Stay safe, friends.
