Absolutely never.
you relapsed on yearning again didn’t you

“what are you, four different dogs” is literally the greatest most potent most cutting insult anyone has ever volleyed. followed so shortly by “a white family’s fleet of dogs” my god. you simply got her, beardsley. you got her

okay, I thought I should make this post since there has been an influx of scammers plaguing AO3 comments section and people are falling victims to them. so here it is;
so far, there are three main types of these scam bots
ALL OF THESE ARE SCAM WITH MALICE INTENTIONS
what all these 3 types of bots have in common is that;
EDIT: I’ve been told they got “smarter” and are now mentioning characters by names and also specific scenes from the story. Most definitely because they ran your fic through AI and let AI write comments for them. So basically, if a comment, from someone you don’t know, ends in something along the lines of “I’d like to draw a comic panel about this”, “can we chat on discord (or anywhere outside of ao3)” or anything that’d require your email or other personal information, always assume that it’s 90% a scam.
report them for spam then delete their comments when/if you get them.
please spread this if you can. us writers gotta look out for each other. stay safe, everybody ♡
EDIT (Dec 10, 2025): NEW TYPE OF BOTS
It sucks so bad being an angry cryer. no one talks about this. makes me so mad. which makes me cry more
ive seen you post a little about mending so i figured i'd ask you, and if you don't know maybe you could direct me to someone who does -
i have a few pairs of jeans that are wearing through along the crotch seam and i'd like to repair them if possible because other than those thin spots they're good jeans with at least a year of life left in them, more if i keep on top of mending. the issue is its not the seam itself thats wearing but the fabric next to it, and i'm unsure how to go about a repair, as i'm newer to higher-level mending like this (most of what i've done is running stitches to hold seams together and a couple patches over weak spots in pockets). would a patch work? how should i go about working around the seam?
any advice at all would be greatly appreciated! thank you in advance
If your jeans have spandex in them, you can only mend them so much before they shred beyond repair.
Your best bet is to put a large patch (100% cotton denim or canvas) on the inside, stitch around it to tack it in, and then cover the entire patched area in multiple directions with sashiko (hand done with embroidery thread) or machine stitches.

More info on both methods:
For a sashiko stitch, crosses like these are pretty easy for beginners. Use chalk to draw guidelines. They’re just running stitches – do the vertical, then all the horizontal.
For the future, keep your eyes peeled for 100% cotton jeans (they’re getting harder to thrift) – both to wear and to act as a source for future patches.
Good luck - this is an annoying repair, but most of it will be hidden from view.
guys, i'm (not) sorry to say, but torsewell is just destiel in a different font
This would have had me crucified on tumblr 10 years ago but maybe we are ready for this conversation now:
If you are a socially anxious person, you have to socialize. Your panic/anxiety attacks will only get worse and trigger more frequently if you constantly avoid contact with The Public. Not saying that you need to be a social butterfly- but there is a genuine problem with not being able to order your own meal at a restaurant. And it cannot be solved by always having someone else do it for you.
