See, that’s what the app is perfect for.

Sounds perfect Wahhhh, I don’t wanna

Probably no one is going to see this, but.

I’ve created a new pride flag!

I’m calling it “hyacinthian” or “hycinthsexuality”

image
image

I hope nothing like that was invented yet- (I have not seen any identity like that before)

This identity is for trans people that feel like their trauma of growing up as a different gender or their personal dysphoria from their body affects the way they experience their sexuality.

It can exist along other pride flags to describe your sexuality too!

Meaning of the colors:

  • Light grey: blurry self,
  • Green: trans identity (because green is the color of life, renewal, etc, and it’s gender neutral),
  • Teal: the color of PTSD awareness ribbon,
  • Indigo: inner awareness,
  • Dark red: sexuality,
  • Black: absence/mystery or dysphoria.

The flowers image I used for the flag is just the one that was available to me, if anyone wants to draw a better purple hyacinth icon for the flag please do it! Any purple hyacinth will do.

It’s called after hyacinths because purple hyacinths are a flower that’s associated with trauma + the greek myth is also related to queer love.

Edit: I slightly changed the name from hyacinthsexuality into hycinthsexuality to roll better on the tongue. Not a major change.

The lack of trans masc and nonbinary rep in trans spaces is always sad to me.

I was just at a queer event in my university yesterday, and they had a display of information placards about different local trans public personalities.

Out of 10 placards, only one of them was a trans man, one was a nonbinary trans masc (who looks like a binary man), and all the others were binary trans women.

Nothing wrong with looking binary as a non binary person! Ofc enby ppl don't owe anyone androgyny. But I'm disappointed they didn't have anyone there with a gender presentation that's outside of binary, in a display that was supposed to represent trans people in general.

Where are my non binary genderfuckery siblings? Where is more transmasc rep?

And amab non binary/genderqueer rep specifically too! They didn't have there anyone for that.

I personally know about at least one city hall worker who's amab and gender queer, and works to create queer community events in his city. All the people in the display were activists and people who are active in the community, she deserved to be there too.

More non binary and transmasc people exist. We just don't get reached out to.

I'm sure all those lovely trans women deserved to be there, I'm just sad and disappointed as always about the lack of representation in something that was supposed to represent all of us. It should have included more people.

I know public spaces has mostly trans fem rep, but you could've done better than that. 2/10 is nothing almost.

Commit to saying you are specifically focused on trans women or include more of us. We are tired of getting only scraps.

Thank you if you've made it so far in my rant🧍‍♂️.

Also, for the record. My university is the biggest university here, it’s not some hell hole.

That display used to be displayed at the government building. They brought it here after.

It’s sad that when we get rare opportunities to be seen, the part that’s shown is so limited.

Anonymous asked:

Does Top surgery affect hormone levels, I mean I know that getting rid of them means your body can’t breastfeed but what are the other affects of top surgery

comprehensive-sex-ed answered:

There are no other effects as far as I know, besides possible complications with scars and such.

I’ve heard that it can affect your hormones actually!

I don’t know a lot about it, but it made sense to me.

Besides that, top surgery can make you have numbness all over your chest area for a while, since they cut around the nerves in your chest, and it can take up to a year for the nerves to regrow. Your chest can feel especially foreign to you for the first few weeks. It’s not just the scarring.

Not hormones related but I just wanted to mention it, because it’s also a side effect besides just scars.

I haven’t gone through the surgery myself, but I know about this from other posts trans masc people made to educate others.

I hope I could help!

Vent time.

I’ve sent an email for the accomodations I deserve to get in my university, and the response I got back both misgendered me (after I used my pronouns in my email!) and used a different, more feminine name than my actual name.

I think I’m going to commit homicide.

It feels so dehumanising to be treated like that.

You are supposed to help me. Am I just nothing to you?
