As more and more people are being forced to switch to Windows 11, Microsoft’s most AI-malware-ridden OS yet, I’ve been putting together articles and links for how to undo the damage and save your battery, your RAM, your disk space, your privacy, and your sanity from this bullshit.
FIRST:
The easiest way to get rid of the majority of the bullshit that Windows is forcing on us, as of October 2025, is this one-stop-one-click debloat solution from a modern day hero:
It’s very easy, even if you’re not tech savvy or get scared of pop up windows saying “ARE YOU SURE?” Yes, you are sure, I promise. This program takes maybe two minutes and will save you SO MUCH pain, time, and money (and exploitation).
Now that you’ve done that, here’s the cleanup, to catch the little shit that the debloat might have missed (most of this will already be done by debloat, but hey, it’s good to double check).
Even just reading about some of these features makes me angry. Fucking Copilot and “Discover” AI scrapers are in Notepad. NOTEPAD. And then there’s this uncanny valley garbage:

i hate that every time i look for color studies and tips to improve my art and make it more dynamic and interesting all that comes up are rudimentary explanations of the color wheel that explain it to me like im in 1st grade and just now discovering my primary colors
“red and green are opposites 🥰” cool now how do i paint a tree with pinks and blues without it looking like a child’s finger painting or incongruous blobs of rainbow vomit
ok i can’t explain it very well but im looking for tips and techniques for rendering art like
with specifically the highlights and colors being hues that compliment each other, don’t distract from the scene, and make it more interesting/visually appealing

“Chromatic fringe” - I also see people using this with shading, they bring in a transition color that is a different hue than the base color or shadow, it makes it so that less vibrancy is lost and it doesn’t get muddy!
This one specifically has a lot of process behind the style of painting you’re looking for!
Also one of my favorite artists who makes bright and colorful art like this is Not Sorry Art on TikTok & YouTube, her website is here and it’s<3 my fav. She has some videos where you can see her process
With the oranges painting you put as an example, I noticed they painted the lighter values more toward yellow - they also exaggerated the hues of the undertones of the photo, so I’m guessing they either did it in their head or bumped the saturation up to get a closer look! I really love these paintings you shared and I definitely share your desire to paint/draw like that :)

If you’d like 2 Print books that I absolutely reccomend to every visual artist regardless of Media, Color and Light and Imaginative Realism by James Gurney are basically religious texts for artists, even the 3-D people because his understanding and explanation of how light and form work is that damn good.

European Citizens’ Initiative is a mechanism to bring issues direct from the people to the EU commission. I strongly urge every citizen of the European Union member states to sign this Initiative to ban conversion therapy and similar persuasion practices.
The deadline for this is may 17th, and a lot of signatures are still needed. If you’re a EU citizen, please consider signing!
You do need to give some data in the form (full name, where you live, birthday), or you can use a form of electronic ID, because this is an official EU thing. But it only takes a minute to do it.

Not enough people know about European Citizen Initiatives. Keep an eye on the site and sign initiatives you agree with. They’ve made real changes in the past, but the important ones never get enough votes because no one fucking knows they exist.
There was a UBI one a few years ago that never got through because no one knew about it and a fair amount of people who did find out assumed it was a scam and didn’t sign, for example.
Again: this is NOT like Change.org or whatever. This is REAL.

I would hype it up more but this is really really simple. It randomly generates a set of symbols, colors, and a word, and then the expected thing to do with those is you draw some sort of character based off the result you get. So it’s just an art challenge toy thingy.
There are also some practical features like you can lock parts of the result in place to rerandomize the rest, or hide parts of the generation you don’t care about (like if you want to pick your own colors or hate the words being there)
It should run in browser, but there’s also a downloadable version for Windows if you want to use it offline. (No mac/linux versions for now, because I don’t have appropriate computers to test those on and I…don’t want to deal with mac’s developer accounts or whatever their problem is…)
