Entryway 🌿

Let me tell you about our couch. I had a beautiful/ugly vintage camelback floral sofa in my last apartment. It was in storage at my parents’ for a few years while I lived in a camping trailer, and when I went to get my furniture to move into our house this year I discovered that my beloved sofa was unsalvageable. I started casually craigslist-surfing to get an idea of prices, etc…after a while I found this sofa for an incredible deal. And it’s VELVET. Which (kinda) matches two velvet chairs we’ve got. I am velvet-obsessed. But I didn’t have the time or means to get the sofa, and it sold. I was sad but comforted myself with the fact that it is a really awful color. A few months later and I still hadn’t found a sofa that hollered my name, but I hadn’t stopped thinking about this ugly olive green velvet sofa. One day it was listed in FB marketplace for the same low price so I immediately messaged the seller about it and asked if it was the one on CL a few months previous. Of course, it was, and Abe and I immediately went about bringing our new child home. The interim owner said it was just too big for their space so she had to let it go. I don’t even care about it being olive green anymore, it’s such a lovely sofa. Fun fact: apparently it used to live at @shadesofbrowntulsa which is a really cute coffee house that I’m nostalgic for that always has a ton of comfy furniture. Sorry (not really) for another rambling post. I could talk about my furniture forever. 💕
