"Essential, crystal clear mid 90s Mika Vianio tracks reissued + the new 'Syväys'" - Hard Wax
"Sähkö scroll back to 1995-1997 and rescue three amazing Mika Vainio tracks produced as Ø - including one unreleased expanse of arctic ambience! I'm ashamed to say i've never heard the two A-side tracks before. Both cuts originally appeared on JD Twitch's short-lived but ace Pi Recordings in 1995; and to be fair I was more interested in football stickers and The Prodigy back then. The A-side features 'Olematon', a pendulous piece of purified, super sub-heavy minimalist swagger that genuinely beggars belief. It's going to be a staple round these parts, no doubt. As if that was all too much action, he follows with the stoic bleeps and rugged bass hits of 'Uponnut'. But, arguably the real discovery is the below kelvin B-side 'Syväys'. It's Vainio at his expansive/introspective best; isolated tones peal out unimpeded in endless, icy panoramas. So good..." - Boomcat

Oksastus may be a live recording, you can still consider it as a studio album as it fits their production methods.
Because nothing justifies to underestimate this release, a crawling chaos of analogic assault steered by two of the most capable artists in the field, taming the fickle beast that is electricity and turning it into a rhythmic noise demonstration of raw power.
And so you just wish to get beautifully stomped on by the percussive stampedes and crushed between the walls of noise. Dotflac
something i can truly relate to. been listening to this on repeat 24/7, thus the album has quickly grown very intimate for me.

First, it sounds minimal. Then it sounds maximal. Another masterpiece that demands many repeats to decipher its code. Wholesome microtechno music from the land of a thousand lakes. Engelram
