it seems to be well understood that gay men and lesbians have a wide variety of preferences when it comes to their sex & romantic attraction (butch/femme, bears, twinks, stone identities, etc etc) but we all understand that they're still gay. that they're still lesbians. even if they're not all attracted to the same people. but for some reason if a bisexual has a slight preference for a certain gender, vibe, sexual position, whatever...they need a hyper specific label that apparently bisexual doesn't cover. sorry but if you only like hairy guys on a warm summers evening and leggy blondes when the wind changes or whatever you can still be bisexual. bi people are not a monolith and that's not a bad thing
#people really just will not let you exist as bisexual#there was such a trend for so long in online spaces especially that I feel still kind of goes on#where being attracted to women is good and righteous and celebrated but being attracted to men is seen as a burden#I felt so guilty for so long about being more attracted to men than women as if that like invalidated the fact that I was still bisexual
