Sarah. She/her. Get on my level, scrubs.

the first time i watched the lighthouse (2019), i watched it on an airplane. the screen was smaller than the average phone screen and about 6 inches away from my face, i was on a 15 hour flight, and i had an aisle seat. i fucking hated the movie. i thought it was pointless, too long, boring, needlessly drawn out, etc etc.

then i was convinced to rewatch it in a living room on a TV screen, sitting on a couch under a blanket. and i loved it. i thought it was fantastic and i was moved by the performances and the visuals.

the first time i watched avengers: endgame (2019) i saw it in a theater surrounded by excited fans and friends. i was so caught up in the emotions i had surrounding the material that i cried, and i left the theater feeling as though i had watched a good movie and had a full experience.

it wasn't until i rewatched it, in a living room on a TV screen by myself, that i realized the movie itself has plotholes and bad writing and inconsistent characterization. i realized that, the first time i saw it, i probably wouldve cried no matter what bullshit they put up on the screen, bc my emotions were running so high.

my point here is that your experience and your emotions surrounding whatever media you're about to enjoy is going to impact said enjoyment of media. was that movie actually good, or did you just have a fun time watching it with your friends? was that movie actually bad, or did you just watch it on an airplane?

the Hive,

who’s been well-established to, once the use of existing loved ones is no longer a viable option, use sexual attraction to ease the immune into accepting them,

has sent Manousos men of a particular age group and body type a total of, hmm let’s see now *counts on my fingers*, 4 out of 4 times

which could mean nothing

now that gay manousos truthing has breached containment and is no longer a joke theory between like.. 8 people.. I get to do that thing tumblr users do and compile all my favorite tags

Maria Skłodowska-Curie's notebooks are crazy once you think about it. They're so radioactive they have to be sealed in a lead box. Imagine a world where atomic theory is forgotten and a dude just goes "yea there's a book that details the secrets of the universe, the machinations of the creation of existence down to its barest essentials, but if you get close to it you fucking die. The more you read it the more your body slowly disassembles into mush." like wat excuse me

every time I think about Dilbert I think about this comic and how the question being asked is Not Stupid and its answer is genuinely interesting and arguably very important information anyone using a computer should know

you people are just fucking dying to call people faggots wokely. masculinity is not about absolute power; the kind of subordination and discipline that fascist men love in militaries is entirely compatible with masculinity and is not in fact a form of effeminacy. discipline to the nation and killing and dying for the nation is masculinism; the strict hierarchies that exist in militaries, police forces, etc exist to affirm the masculinity of the men involved, even those at the lowest levels, particularly given that these structures allow men to enact (racist, sexist, etc) violence on behalf of the nation, no matter how many superiors the men in question have.

When you're trying to forget your years old situationship but his manager is Yuna Hollander so you see his face everywhere...
