If you want to stand up for transgender Canadians, then there's a petition to ask the federal government to repeal the acts signed into law that restrict transgender medical care for transgender youth:
You need only be a resident of Canada, not a citizen to sign. Please help us give transgender youth a fighting chance. Their medical care decisions should be between the handling physician and family only. This isn't a matter for politicians to decide.

I recently just got an message from an random account with a similar text+ the exact email screenshot. It seemed off/not real to me when I read the message so I decided to reverse image search the email and the post I reblogged above was the first one to show up when I searched.

It’s okay not to always feel like your theriotypes 24/7. It doesn’t make you a “false” therian.
It’s okay that you don’t have shifts. not every being experiences shifts, and that’s quite alright.
It’s okay if you aren’t out to your parents quite yet, or if you NEVER come out at all.
It’s okay if you choose not to label yourself. Labels are just tools to help explain YOUR experience to others. You don’t need to prove yourself to anybody. You are as valid as the ones who do label themselves.
It’s okay if you don’t experience animalistic urges or instincts. Therianthropy is more about feelings than behaviors. It’s about the core sense of feeling as though you are an animal.

So the holidays are coming upon us and that got me thinking "What are some types of gear alterhumans want but rarely can find?". Most alterhuman sellers focus on making therian/animal masks, but not all alterhumans are therians plus some therians don't like to wear masks. Things such as paintings, sent markers, and mystery boxes came to mind, but I am wondering what other specific things fellow alterhumans want.
If you would like to share ideas of gear to diy, or have small business create, please suggest them in the comments. Adding replies can help alterhuman supporters know what to get to show they love the alterhuman side of their friends by helping them get them non-"basic" gear for them.

The most common case of death for a pregnant person is homicide. This is a massive problem and comes up a lot in discussions around domestic violence and pregnancy as a tool of abuse.
The second most common cause of death in pregnant people? Mental health related demises such as suicide and overdose. Pregnancy wrecks mental health. It absolutely destroys it, especially if you don’t want to be pregnant. Long before postpartum psychosis and postpartum depression, pregnant people harm themselves at a rate that exceeds deaths in pregnancy related to physical complications. You have to discontinue many psychiatric drugs in pregnancy because they are not safe for the fetus. Pregnant people lack mental health support and are often shamed for struggling with their mental health or doing activities that could harm their pregnancy like continuing to use drugs and alcohol.
I am certain the anti-abortion crowd would jump to blame pregnant victims of suicide for harming their ‘unborn baby’ but pregnancy is not just a state of being a vessel. Pregnant people are people and their personhood and needs are often ignored and their body is treated like it is not their own. Abortion restrictions will result in more deaths in pregnancy and not more live babies born and the blood is on your hands if you refuse to acknowledge that.

Basically: schools haven't been teaching phonics and definitions, they've been teaching kids to just guess the meaning of unfamiliar words from context. This method has been debunked as detrimental for decades and was devised by a guy who thinks that if a kid encounters the unfamiliar word "horse" and instead of sounding it out or looking it up just guesses "pony" that it means they're reading correctly. He also doesn't believe dyslexia exists. What on earth.

Nothing makes me angrier than the “Minimum wage jobs are intended for teenagers, of course adults can’t live off the wages, they should get real jobs.” bullshit. Not only are you pro child labor but you’re pro underpaying children for their labor? Also, there are so many teenagers out there working to survive and pay rent and support themselves and their families and these jobs are fucking brutal. Pay them what they deserve.
Reminder that chicks need to be taught to be birds and in the same vein it makes perfect sense that you might need to learn how to act your species. And at the beginning it may feel forced but that doesn't make you any less an animal. And just like that kitten that grew up surrounded by dogs and now barks, if you were raised by humans it's not unreasonable to believe you might come out resembling one, just remember that means nothing to what you truly are.
