shame is a powerful motivator to change one's behaviors when they realize they are doing something wrong or inappropriate and i don't actually support ppl doing away with their sense of shame altogether at all
ALTAwhile ago I was struck by the similarity between fire towers and lighthouses, and wanted to capture that in a painting. Both are lonely, isolated structures that people tend to work alone, sometimes in extremely dangerous if not life threatening conditions. But fire towers are about warning people to run, about putting out a light that is a threat to people's safety. Lighthouses are sort of the opposite, drawing people in and guiding them to safety by keeping a light on instead of putting it out.
