Since then, silence has enveloped Ahmed Abu Saada’s life and left him overwhelmed by grief.
Across the besieged enclave, thousands of Palestinians are forced to live among damaged, unstable structures, with safe housing alternatives unavailable due to Israeli restrictions on construction materials and a blockade on the entry of mobile homes.
After more than two years of Israeli bombardment, widespread destruction has left thousands of tonnes of rubble scattered across Gaza’s residential areas, posing serious structural risks and increasing the likelihood of sudden collapses.
