DAVE STRIDER DRESSUP GAME

12 January 2011. It is time to enter Dave's closet and make him look SO SILLY. Miata-4 on DeviantArt has made a Dave dressup game in Flash with all his canon outfits to choose between, plus a couple of bonus ones! I had fun playing around with this and it is WELL worth giving ten minutes of your time to.

deviantArt used to support Flash but no longer does, though .swf files are still available to download. there are also online emulators for uploading and playing these files, though unfortunately none of them work without first downloading the file to your computer (they may also be desktop only, I haven't tested this on mobile).

i counted every instance of berdly saying kris' name

...well, that's not the whole story. i also counted the name uses of three other characters; noelle, susie, and queen. the original scope was to just count the names from kris, but i figured these three could make a good comparison, that way we can see just how significant the difference is.

before we begin, there's a couple things i should note:

• for this tally, my sources were: @thatfuckingbirdthatilove, the deltarune text dump, these ch2 and ch4 commentary-free playthroughs, and my own playthrough of the game.
• this tally includes instances from content outside of the game, such as the fangamer deltarune anniversary stream (all the changed berdly dialogue is counted separately from the original lines) and concept art. also, for clarification, name usage prefixed by other terms (ex. my dear noelle) and variations of names (ex. susan) also count for the tally.
• there was a small handful of harder-to-find optional dialogue that i wasn't able to find a source for, and since i cannot reliably confirm that those lines have name uses to be counted, those dialogues did not contribute to the final score. sadly this means the final numbers may be slightly off...
