I started drawing this a few weeks ago and went back to it today because I've been too busy (party my fault for spending so much time scrolling twitter smh but also I've been trying to finish reading some books/finish watching some stuff before the end of the year. Plus it's the holidays so all of a sudden everyone wants to meet up). I consciously tried to not be scared of shadows since I've been trying to do them in my traditional drawings recently.

Plus it's the holidays so all of a sudden everyone wants to meet up). I consciously tried to not be scared of shadows since I've been trying to do them in my traditional drawings recently.

i actually don't believe all opinions are valid unless we're talking about purely subjective things like music taste or pizza toppings or what you find sexually attractive in another person or whatever.

if an opinion doesn't come with any knowledge or understanding of the subject one is carrying an opinion about, it's just a hunch or an assumption or maybe even a hypothesis. hunches and assumptions can be fine if one is fully aware that they are nothing more than that and are open to being wrong. hypotheses are good if you're going to actually test out your hypotheses and accept whatever your investigations reveal.

otherwise its all actually kinda dangerous. and anyone who can't carry the possibility of being wrong about anything does not have an opinion that can be trusted. anyone who is unaware that their assumptions are assumptions and just blindly trusts that every stupid thought and belief their talking monkey brain has is true, is potentially dangerous to the world and should definitely not be allowed to make decisions that affect large amounts of people.

and yes i am keenly aware that this all just, like, my opinion, man.

Seeing the prominence of AI art and content in the Inuyasha community—both in TikTok and Tumblr as well as Ao3—is suffice to say...dissapointing.

Please. COMMISSION an artist. PICK UP A PEN if you have to. REQUEST AN ARTIST FRIEND to draw it for you. Literally, there are numerous alternatives other than AI🤦🏻

I proactively block any account that is openly sharing AI art. If I have friends who posted something not realizing it was AI, I quietly let them know.

I know not everyone has the financial means to commission art from our amazing artists, but at the very least, don't share it around. Ignore it when you see it, don't interact with it, and definitely don't reblog it. I'm not on tiktok, so I can't speak to how that works, but don't engage with accounts who promote AI art.

Support doesn't have to be monetary! Reblogging is FREE!

If not for the impact that it has on artists just trying to get by, then consider also what it's doing to [THE ENVIRONMENT]

I'd rather be asked a request than see a shitty computer scrapped AI "art" (that also steals from artists, btw) that has no life or emotion behind it while ALSO knowing the detrimental affects it has on the climate

AI art is getting more and more difficult to distinguish now, we're falling back onto fae rules 😂

Count the fingers, knuckles, ears, and teeth. Check the shadows, hair, and eyes

Check profiles to see if art looks similar to other artwork they've done and how frequently they upload.

Look for strange "artifacts" in the image. Artists draw with intention, AI just throws shit at the wall to see what sticks

Most importantly, don't make deals, promises, or give them your name

It's the start of the 1st Term 2025 Inuyasha Fandom Awards!

Happy almost New Year! We hope everyone has a good & safe end to the year! A huge shout-out to everyone who participated last term and made it such a huge success! We look forward to all of the amazing new fanfiction and fanart to be shared with this beautiful community! (If you have not received your award banner for last term, please reach out to one of the mods asap!)

At the end of last term, the voting form included the possibilities of the Roulette Categories for this term, and we have taken the top choices for both Fanart and Fanfiction:

As a reminder, we added a Roulette Romance category for both Fanfiction and Fanart. This term the pairing chosen will be Best SessKagu Romance (Sesshomaru x Kagura). This will be a category for both Fanart and Fanfiction.

The original Best Romance category will remain, so all non-InuKag or SessKagu pairings, including LGBTQ+, can be nominated into that category. All other pairings will be up for voting again next term.

Lastly, to help with inclusivity, we have also added a Best Rare Pair category to both fanfiction & fanart. You can find their definitions here, as well as on our Google Doc linked below.
