I don’t understand why all these characters are surnamed Kong. It appears to reflect some kind of– like not ALL the apes are named Kong, so it has to mean something, no??

Sometimes it pisses me off how much funnier you are than me. I’m laughing but my thumb is hovering over the report button

cannot stress this enough good boy (2025) is not just a ghost story from the pov of a dog, it’s a horror story About being a dog. it’s about being small and helpless and in many ways useless. it’s about having no idea what the hell is going on but also knowing there’s danger before anyone else does and everyone just laughing and rolling their eyes. it’s about separation anxiety and forboding smells and having no idea where your loved ones are when you can’t see or hear them. it’s about being completely unable to express ideas complex enough to warn anyone of anything, even when you know something is wrong. there is such effective horror to be found in a protagonist who cannot call for help because he simply does not know that such a thing is possible. it’s good. it’s good horror. it’s good dog horror.

#NationalOpossumDay :

depiction of an opossum hiding in the foliage of a fruiting Toyon bush (aka California Holly) “Sourcing imagery from the flora and fauna of the California coast, Julia Lucey combines printmaking and collage for a medium all her own. Lucey prints her exquisitely detailed aquatint etchings in multiple editions, and uses a deft hand to cut and layer them into complex large-scale collages. The finished pieces are visually dense constructed environments that play on the character of her animal and vegetable subjects. As the artist herself explained, in some of her worlds, she references narratives and folk tales she imagines could happen, but with local animals as the characters. In other collages, she sets the animal’s gaze out toward the viewer in judgement; and others are simply about the magical feeling of being in a wild space.”ALT
