Finished the watercolor of the Wrightson creature! This is a gift for somebody, but I wish I was keeping him 🫡
I also envy that person, because this drawing/painting is simply gorgeous. 💜
Awwwww! I’m stealing that gif 🤣
Yeah, this piece is actually going to Bernie’s son, John Wrightson. He’s sent me pics of his creature statue and has spoken to me at length about the novel, so I thought it only fair to return the favor.
I’m also doing a painting for Mike Hill to give him when we meet up later this week, but I’m worried about how that one will turn out, it’s not going great so far ☠️
Oh, my… a gift for Bernie’s son?? Wow… just… 😳
And you’re making a gift for Mike Hill… I’m actually kinda jealous. You knowing all these great people, who contributed to keeping the Franken-legacy alive (hehe) and well. 😂
No, but for real, I think they’ll love these pieces of artwork: it’s honestly great. 💜
And feel free to use this gif. 😂 I created it to treat myself: I love the original Bernie’s Frankenstein illustrations. There’s just something about his Creature design that speaks to me on an emotional level (he’s both frightening but also sympathetic) and it’s my fave right next to Elordi one.
As a Christmas gift to myself, I got myself a copy of “Frankenstein: Alive! Alive!” (someone recommended it on Twitter) and I’ve been kinda obsessed with it ever since. I love the portrayal of the Creature in there - there are so many moments in it, where I just wanna give him a big hug. 😭💜 It’s sad that the series was so tragically cut short (since every story that focuses on the Creature being alive and well, and trying to find his place in the world has me instantly sold), but even still - it’s a masterful piece of work (I could stare for hours at those illustrations showcasing Doctor Ingles’ laboratory).
There’s also this absolutely gorgeous illustration that I found recently, of the Creature standing in the rain:
The image is from an eBay auction… It’s a shame that it’s so friggin expensive (last time I checked it was $11k), because it’s just so… *chef’s kiss*
Anyway, sorry for babbling so much… I have become really and deeply passionate about the Bernie Wrightson Creature (and Frankenstein in general).
(also, apologies for the late reply: post-Christmas/end-of-semester chaos got to me).

I’ve seen some people on this hellsite and beyond saying that “Frankenstein” (2025) is “not good” or even calling it a “bad movie”.
And I am here like… Bitch, in what sort of dimension/parallel universe would this film be considered a “bad movie”?
And I understand that some people may not like it, for their own specific reasons - and that is absolutely fine.
But calling it a “bad movie”… like… have any of yall seen what a bad movie looks like?
Random Frankenstein (2025) headcanon:
Adam (the Creature) would love Beatrix Potter books.
