After months of effort (and like a month of procrastinating on editing it together) I am happy to finally be able to share a big project I’ve been working on-
My VOT animatic for the tournament!!! Featuring at least a small moment for each of 53 different designs! :D
I bring the disclaimer that I bit off way more than I could chew and thus this isn’t lined/colored/cleaned up and there’s a few sections that are pretty much empty because they have no lyrics and thus where just going to be based on how the tournament goes but then I lost motivation for that part. And I’m sorry to anyone whose design was given a shorter and/or less cleaned up section. However I’m overall happy with this and I worked really hard. I hope you all enjoy this project :)

What's your take on the voices and princess, like what do you think out of each of the endings would happen afterwards? Or if that doesnt make sense how do you view them in your own eyes?
Alright, here we go! Let this be the post with the maximum text capacity ig! So... we have 6 endings. For each of the Voices (as we are the Decider) it ends differently, possibly. For ANAUD I'll presume everybody being alive (revisiting the Construct via memory loops as the Narrator's schtick is within Hero now), unless killed off smh (can't remember how this works).
The Narrator is bodily forever gone in all endings. We can't decide for Shifty-hime, so all of Her stays, unless Your New World happens. Onto the Voices undercut:

smitten's kisses are long and deep, full of love and passion and overwhelming. cold's kisses are light but plentiful, playful pecks on the cheeks, leaving a trail of frost in its wake
the frost is metaphorical but i also like it being literal, like cold's mark on smitten. but because smitten runs so warm, the frost melts very quickly and so cold must kiss smitten more cuz so he can see his mark longer on him
i also like the idea of cold's frost as fleeting, explaining his fluctuation, the "never stay here for too long/being idle cuz boring", and yet the frost still returns to its place because he has found his place, the one place he doesnt mind being in for eternity, and thats with smitten
smitten kisses burns. a pleasant burn, the kind where the heat grows too warm to be painful and yet it teeters on not burning u at all, its a delicate precipice between overwhelming and nice, one that cold really likes experiencing. smitten kisses like a trail of lava, leaving noticeable marks that scorches and blackens everything in its wake, bright and thick and viscous, covering you in its entirety

"Why does it feel like a goodbye?"
Smitten rubbed a hand over his face, attempting to wipe away as many tears as he could.
He took a shaky breath in, trying to calm himself, willing his heart to stay intact for just a few moments longer.
But why? Why must his love hurt him so? Why did he let his fears hold him back?
Smitten was so used to letting his passions and feelings lead him around, but the one time it mattered, he hesitated.
Smitten kept trying to rid his mind of his painful thoughts, but it only made them come back with a powerful vengeance, one that made him quietly sob in his bedroom.
He knew he shouldn't do it. He knew it would break his heart even more, but he still cracked the door open and peeked outside.
There, standing in the hallway, in the arms of Smitten's dear brother, was Hero.
The brilliant, beautiful, angelic Hero.
The love of Smitten's life.
Smitten smiled bitterly as he watched Hero giggle at something Skeptic said, and then leaned in to kiss him.
But Smitten was not the love of Hero's life.
No, Skeptic had claimed that title for himself.
Smitten knew he should look away, but what was the point? The damage was already done. Smitten's love had already burned up into ash right in front of him.
He leaned his face against the wall, uncaring if his dark, inky tears stained it. If he was going to allow himself to grieve, he might as well do it while watching Hero smile and be loved by someone else.
There had been so many times where Smitten had wanted to confess to Hero, to pour his heart out and spoil him with gifts and poetic words.
He even had written love letters for Hero to see, letting his love bleed out onto the page like an open wound, until the letter was dripping in fiery desire.
But every time Smitten got close to taking that final step, he remembered what had happened the last time his love had gotten the better of him.
The princess.
The banquet.
The torches.
The crying.
The memories still haunted Smitten wherever he went, and he was determined not to revert back to that shadow.
So he had to push his confession back, just until he found the right time and the right way to do it, to give Hero his heart without giving up everything Smitten was, because he knew Hero wouldn't want that for him either.
But it was too late.
Someone had swept Hero off his feet, and from his own brother, no less.
Smitten gripped the love letter in his hand tighter, staring at the way Hero gazed at Skeptic, at how happy and safe he looked in Skeptic's embrace.
Could Smitten have really made Hero that happy? Or would his affections have smothered Hero until he couldn't breathe?
A tear slowly fell down Smitten's cheek, rolling down his chin until it dripped off, hitting the love letter in his hand and staining it black.
No matter. It wasn't as if anyone was going to want to read those words anymore.
No, this was for the best, Smitten decided. Who was he to stand in the way of true love, after all? Just because it was hurting Smitten's soul, doesn't mean that it isn't meant to be. It just wasn't meant to be for Smitten.
He sighed, looking back on better memories to try and cool the pain in his heart.
He remembered teaching Hero to dance, and how Hero kept apologising for every little mistake. It was adorable.
Or the time that Smitten had treated them to a picnic. Oh, how perfect that day had been, and Hero's smile had shone brighter than the sun itself.
These memories used to fill Smitten with a sweet fondness. But now there was just an aching nostalgia in its place, for a time where Smitten still felt alive and that he knew what his purpose was.
He decided to cling to the memories and its bittersweet nostalgia.
It was all Smitten had left anymore.

Well, okay, a coyote is obvious, but I want to put more thought into it, y'know?
Crows are playful and intelligent, but you don't give off that goth / brooding vibe that people stereotypically give crows.
Dogs are also playful and fun, and I have a dog (bernedoodle) (bernese mountain dog / poodle mix) that is awesome.
I like bugs but idk what kinda bug you'd be? Crabs are also cool, but those are super diverse. Hmmmm
