hello gay people in my computer. as much as i have tried to hold the strings together it looks like i am about to get sucker punched once again by the world's slowest fist made of dollar bills.

the situation;
i am the sole breadwinner at the moment for a household of three. one household member is too disabled to hold down a job and just had his disability application denied. we are going to try to do what we can but, you know. that stuff takes time that we don't have.

the other person has a job that pays significantly less than mine but regular bills just consume everything like a hungry animal.

all three of us are disabled, trans, require expensive medicine to live (me in particular), need food to live, need to pay for rent, electricity, etc.. one of our cats is ill and we literally just cannot take her to a vet because the x-ray she needs is 650 dollars we don't have. the other two haven't had a checkup in a while either, because, again, money we don't have.

it is just all very much, and then the $2000 dollar surprise expense comes and punches us in the collective balls. i do not know if i will have the ability to fundraise all of it off tumblr but it would be nice to have some assistance, i know we are all just sort of passing the same 20 dollars around.

but. yeah. anything helps.

Then you know what it means to go without the necessary food or medication. This is the condition Ibrahim's ( @aburakhiaibrahim ) mother is facing, and given the cost of food and medicine in the Gaza Strip, it's an uphill battle. But you can help him not face it alone.

The Sameer Project campaign in the South Gaza needs your support

Their campaign needs about $3,600 to $5,000 every day just to cook 250 meals and prepare 10 pots of lentils or bulgur. Medical work adds another $5,000 every 10 days. Now, water trucks are becoming a top priority—but those come with a hefty price tag too. On top of it all, they have to hire a lot of labor, which has to be paid in cash.

They need to reach at least $10,000 a day for the South campaign to provide some of each of those. Please donate today and share with your family and friends:

The Sameer Project is also running a medical service point in North Gaza

The Sameer Project x Translating Falasteen has been supplying medication, treatments, visits to doctors, wound care, making specialist appointments, physiotherapy, psychotherapy, and collecting documents to facilitate evacuations in both the North, Central, and South of Gaza for one year. Depending on the patient, location, and type of help needed we have been supporting medical care from our North and South campaigns. Now, as the situation is deteriorating and we are stepping up to do more, we have decided to make a focused “Medical Care” campaign.

In addition to our South medical point we are opening up a new medical point in the North, in the over crowded and underserved Port Camp. This medical point: the “Translating Falasteen x The Sameer Project Port Camp Medical Point” will have full service care including a doctor, nurses, a dentist, and a physiotherapist. After the initial installation costs it will be approximately $20,000 to keep it up and running and medication in stock.

I’m making this post on the behalf of Sami and Hamza, my dear friends, who are currently suffering in Gaza along with their family. They’ve several young children living with them along with parents and grandparents, and have already been through so much.

They’re raising money for food and to be able to leave Gaza once the opportunity arises. Please consider donating or reblogging — anything helps!!
