About my pets!

New 20gal long community tank. Currently featuring some Corydoras, rummynose tetras, a honey gourami, and snails.

Beaver is a fowler's toad from 8/17/23.

I also keep isopods that I post occasionally, primarily Porcellio scaber and Oniscus asellus. Additionally, my partner has a leopard gecko named Leon, and we have a dog named Posy.

I caved and bought a Top Fin stand for the 10gal cuz whatever man. I built it but I still need to clean out the 10gal. I hope it'll work out >_<

Also I was hoping that I could put my 5gal on the lower shelf (as a backup/snail tank), but it has a huge warning saying DON'T PUT A TANK ON THIS SHELF OR IT MIGHT KILL YOU. Even though it's built exactly the same as the 10gal shelf with a support beam and all that??? But I guess I'll have to sell the 5gal soon =3=

I started my shrimp tank about 3 years ago with 5 blue velvet morph neocaridina shrimp purchased from my local fish store, and since then the population has been self-sustaining and consisted entirely of blue velvets ranging from bright to near-black, with occasional carbon rilis on a blue base. until today I spotted this guy while cleaning:

my brother where did you come from.

Has anyone ever used a wire rack like this for an aquarium? I want to set up my 10gal, but stands are very expensive at the pet stores, and most here don't even seem to HAVE stands in stock for some reason. I was wondering if a metal rack like this one from a hardware store would be safe.

It claims that each shelf can hold up to 250lb, and a full 10gal is at least 110lb. I'd also probably put the 5gal on the lower shelf. If it's safe, what would you place on top of the wire shelf so that it's a flat surface?
