Hey! You!
Do you like your queer romance with a fun mystery and healthy dose of horror to make the medicine go down?
Check out my webcomic Kingfisher, an occult mystery series set in the 1920s!
We now have nearly 250 pages of reality shifting puzzle boxes, gun-totting tea drinking mobsters, dubious cocktails, and an immensely slow burn romance!
The current book is Rotgut, where a strange plague seems to sweeping over the city with a strange inhuman being in the center of it. Can Seymour and Gabriel navigate the increasingly complicated web of lies and relationships to find the truth at its center? Can Seymour discover the secrets of the mysterious artifact, the Kingfisher Box? Can gentlewoman thief Fox ever stop finding herself being pulled into their messes?
And maybe, just maybe, our main couple will hold hands by the end of it? Just once?
Remember! The road to hell is paved with good intentions!
The first book, Foxhunt and it’s accompanying short story, is finished. If you want to read it in it’s entirity (and maybe throw a couple of bucks my way) you can buy the pdf in my shop
i know it's hard. but i so firmly believe the strongest antidote to loneliness is reaching out first. and continuing to reach out. again and again and again. excise any scrap of shame you hold about being the person who texts first or pitches the plan or asks to get lunch. everyone is tired and busy and struggling. and afraid of feeling unwanted and unimportant. don't let the people you love feel that way. reach out first. don't be a ghost in your own life.
On the Good Home, we meet the first of the residents of the Home: The Lovely Duchess.
Been thinking about these two a lot. Maybe I WILL do some short stories with them.
Part of the joke is that I’ve always wanted to do a series of shorts (ala like Hellboy) but always got sucked into a graphic novel or something bigger. That. And I already wrote out like 7 ideas already haha. But yeah. 10-25 page short stories. I can stick to it, totally.
If you're in the US, now is a great time to talk to the young people in your life about the US military:
for those wanting to help venezuelans affected by the bombings through donations, these are currently the best ways to go. will add more links as more is set up
I tried to go to your shop in your pinned message, but the link is broken :<
Oh, it’s been a while since I’ve updated the main pin. Here’s the shop link!
Hello!
I have just recently found your blog and have been following Kingfisher already. I love and learned to recognize your usage of ink and hatching. So imagine my surprise when I saw a new graphic novel that you illustrated at the local library! It was the one about the Salem Witch Trials!
I just got it today and was very delighted.. it's so cool..
Anyway I just thought that was neat and I love your art 🔥🔥
Aw yeah, I drew (ahem) Who Was Accused in the Salem Witch Trials?: Tituba A Who HQ Graphic Novel. Bit of wordy title haha. I hope you enjoy reading it!
I also have another book I drew coming out this year, The Lost Princess of Sparta, for those interested. That’s a mythological adventure ya! A lot of fun to draw.
