au where anakin doesn't turn to the dark side but order 66 and the fall of the republic still happen and he survives and joins the rebels and he just makes sure everyone is on a good sleep schedule and yells about importance of sleep, telling anyone who listens that "the last time i didn't sleep well and enough, i almost turned to the dark side" and everyone just thinks he is exaggerating but he is dead serious
Please stop with this nonsense that Anakin didn’t care about the clones or that the clones didn’t respect/like Anakin.
Anakin treated them like people, not clones. Every life of a clone mattered to him, they just weren’t a number or a designation. Anakin stood shoulder to shoulder on the front lines not bk at HQ.
And as for Anakin Skywalker’s improvised plans, well, it’s called trust.
Captain Rex and Anakin formed a special bond. A very special bond that revolved around trust.
Captain Rex even says in Star Wars Rebels:
The general I fought with was among the greatest of the Jedi. I trusted him with my life more times than I can count… and I tried my best to keep that trust.
In the Season 4 finale, Rex also states:
In my experience, when it comes to Jedi, the worst the plan, the better the result.
Anakin’s tactics almost never failed. He improvised because that’s what a good leader does. Anakin led by example. He adapted when necessary.
People bash on Anakin’s plans too harshly in my opinion when in reality they are better than Windu, Yoda, and Obi-Wan. There is a reason why the 501st never show distaste to Anakin’s methods because they worked, and even when they don’t, he’s willing to jump into the frontlines instead of allowing his men to die and doing nothing.
Clone Troopers were also bred and trained to adapt. That’s why they were more efficient and effective than droids. Rather than having to follow protocol all the time, they were able to adapt in situations that called for adapting and improvising. They had not only the training, but the talent from within to do so effectively.
Anakin is full of flaws and you can dislike this character, but it doesn’t change that he CARED about the clones, exactly like the other Jedi. It’s canon.
"Anakin was weak/doomed to fall" vs Maths
Many numbers are approximate - calculated by dates of events.
Artificial falls (see Mortis arc) are not being counted.
[time] of psychological damage here is referring to only points when the person was placed under unusual stress (war, slavery, grooming, gaslighting, etc). Obviously real trauma lingers and can turn inward to create more damage but we can't maths that.
1d4, 1d10, and 1d20 stands for one dice of either four, ten, or twenty sides.
I am personally ready to fight every single person that calls Anakin Skywalker a himbo. He is literally a genius—amazing pilot, mechanic, the strongest user of the Force. That is the OPPOSITE of a himbo. A himbo is dumb. Well-meaning, sweet, a little goofy, and DUMB. Anakin Skywalker is not dumb or goofy. I do not get this 'Anakin is a himbo' thing. I will die on this hill.
Sidious names his apprentices well; they’re both a label and a mockery of the individual in question
Maul: Literally means to attack, injure, or mutilate. Maul wanted to fight and kill Jedi, later becoming obsessed with destroying everything and everyone Obi-Wan cared about before finally killing him. So, Sidious names him Maul, both a descriptor of his desires and his role. Maul was an enforcer, little better than an attack dog, and his name makes that perfectly clear. It also serves as a cruel reminder of what happens to him: cut in half and left for dead, beaten, and ultimately killed because he was so determined to harm another.
Tyranus: A variant of tyrannous, a descriptor for a ruler or government who exercises power in a cruel or arbitrary way. Dooku left the Jedi and took up the title of Count, leading Serenno and the Separatists under Sidious’ command. Dooku thought he’d rule the galaxy alongside Sidious, not realizing he was merely a pawn in his master’s game. He was promised control, never realizing that he himself is the one being controlled. He’s named for his desire for power and control, and mocked because he’ll never have either.
Vader: In German, this word means father. Anakin wanted a family, wanted his loved ones kept safe as any father does. He joined the Dark Lord to save his wife and unborn child, only to be kept from them by the one who promised him that future. He both is and isn’t a father; his wife did bear him children, but he never got to raise them. Instead, his children were given to other men; other men who were there for their first words, first steps, and all the other moments no father should ever miss.
Ypu know what? Every so often, every few years, a star wars thing is made, and when that time comes, its like a dormant volcano within me reawakens and turns me into the loudest most enthusiastic star wars/anakin/darth vader fan in the world. Im filled with so much love for Star Wars that all I wanna do is have a marathon of all 9 films (especially episode 2, 3, 6 and 9) and relive the story I love so immensely. The cause for my awakening this time is the new Obi Wan Kenobi show, it gives me another extended look at probably my second favourite character and I could not be happier!!!
Listen do you remember what Anakin was like in RotS???? Smiling and looking sweet despite being a war hero??? Looking to Obi-Wan for praise like a golden fucking retriever??? So fucking excited to be a dad??? As awkward flirting as he is graceful in battle??? Moving heaven and earth to save Obi-Wan's life???
Do you remember Obi-Wan and Anakin flying perfectly in sync? Can you still hear the little "Whoo!" he shouted while cutting up droids in the hallway? The abject disgust with which he looked at Palpatine for suggesting they leave Obi-Wan behind? Reluctantly letting Padme pull him into a hug? Going to Yoda for life advice? Remember Obi-Wan telling him he's strong and wise and he's very proud of him???
Darth Vader is a crushing gravity well in the Force. His hatred for Obi-Wan surpasses even his hatred for Palpatine, and is surpassed only by his hatred for himself. He kills innocents with barely half a moment's thought. He is death. He is revenge itself. There is no one close to him he wouldn't choke out the instant they outlive their usefulness.
When you see him, you run. Darth Vader is not an opponent, he is something to be survived. If you're lucky. If you can. It's impossible to imagine he ever had a mother, ever glowed under the praise of his teacher, ever joked. Hard to imagine there's even a living being inside the armor.
Maybe there are rumours he's an advanced droid, and maybe people who've survived him wish they could believe them. You hope he finds no pleasure in combat, but you know he does. Every gesture he makes is cruelty, every movement leaves a swath of devastation. For Obi-Wan, even his words leave lasting scars.
These are the same man.
Not only is Darth Vader Anakin Skywalker, but Anakin Skywalker is Darth Vader.
Abortion, while it’s not something I myself would do, should be a CHOICE
A choice to what happens to YOUR body not the man who’s never had to worry about losing the rights over their own body. Now I know this has been said but hearing the ignorance of people around you can really break your patience.
It’s weird knowing it’s up to others to decide if a human being, that they have no connection to, needs to grow in your body
