inspired: questioning elements of both of these framings because, even though finding fat people hot absolutely should not be confined to just the label of fetish, the level of erotic fixation on fatness itself that i and a lot of other feedists experience would definitely get called a fetish if this obsession was with something like feet, and this fact should make it plainly obvious how the whole concept of "fetish" is a social construct with serious flaws and limitations that, in cases like this, stigmatizes marginalized people and pathologizes anyone with strong erotic interests that are culturally considered abnormal. recognizing that frameworks where fat people can only be a fetish are wrong and also not shaming or demonizing people for having an erotic fixation that would fit conventional definitions of a fetish.
