Watching Fjord and Molly’s friendship grow is like watching the tough lookin’ jock warm up to his ostentatious gay roommate. I mean, he automatically assumes Molly’s rooming with him every time they’re at an inn. It’s progressed to the point that he called out a “Molly, you comin’?” when they were climbing up to their rooms.

Let’s not forget that Fjord chose to confide in Molly - not Jester, who he’s known longer and canonically trusts - is a huge step in their relationship. Out of all the dynamics in the group, I never expected Fjord and Molly to progress like this.

Notice also how everytime Molly displays his good morals of giving to those that it can make a difference, Fjord/Travis always vocally agrees/nods. Also the effortless teasing from the get go? “You wanna stay in that room, Molly?” and “Easy on the spending”: “Don’t tell me what to do with my money”. Fjord grabbing Molly to help him orchestrate trap for Nott or to cause chaos at the hospital.

ANYWAY Fjord and Molly had very natural chemistry from the get go where they agreed with each other’s displays of goods, were amused by each other’s character (Fjord’s flustered charm, Molly’s straightforwardness), and always counted on each other in both small matters and trust. If the Molly went on, I genuinely think Molly would be Fjord’s right hand man
