print disabled access and the internet archive
to access books on the IA that have lost public rights (aka most of them) all you need to do is this:
fill out this self-reporting form, where it asks if you have a disability and are thus eligible for print disabled access.
what this form asks is if you have ever had accommodations during schooling, if you are mentally ill, have a physical disability, etc. and you submit it and in a few days you get access.
they do not ask for any sort of documentation or information, just say ‘i’m disabled’…they want to give it to you.
This isn’t stealing disabled resources or whatever btw. It’s a loophole they came up with after a lawsuit a few years back that said books couldn’t be publicly available to everyone (for copyright reasons). They want you to exploit this system because they wanted things to be free in the first place. The only downside is you can’t download pdfs directly and to download the epub you need conversion software. The in browser reader is really manageable tho ! Especially with an archive.org account where you can bookmark/list/favorite.

after observing the gifsets you all put on my dashboard i’m starting to feel like these dan and phil guys have some sort of gay tension. has anyone come up with this idea before
this is from a 2006 spin article where they interviewed gerard via AOL (pseudonym “NotOkayHelena”). starting to think this guy was “the blueprint”.
context: mcr swept the spin readers poll of 2005, img 1 was in response to gerard being voted sexiest, img 2 was in response to a joke about the strokes being upset a newcomer took that prize

sometimes i forget that not everyone is as yaoipilled as i am. ill be talking with friends and some celebrity or character will come up in conversation and ill mention something that to me is damning evidence of a gay situation (all while attempting to be casual, probably not succeeding) and they’ll just be like yeahhhh idk about all that. and i realize i’ve just made things weird. and then i get sad because i remember that what we’re really talking about is whether this celebrity or character could be gay or not. and the friend is really saying is i think there’s no way this person could be gay and you’re overreacting. which is very possible. but also, it reminds me that celebrities have had rumors started about straight relationships since the dawn of time with far less evidence. and it makes me sad and unsure if i’m crazy. i’m aware that all this is silly. i feel like this meme every time i bring up bisexual celebrities to my straight friends. sure grandma let’s get you to bed nobody is actually bisexual
