I think some Very Online people are ignoring the way Tim Walz has been trying to fight back against ICE as much as he feasibly can as governor of Minnesota and consistently sounding the alarm on just how bad things are because it’s direct proof that the Harris-Walz ticket would not have approved of ICE acting this way and this would not be happening if Harris and Walz had won. Remember, the skeleton key to understanding a significant chunk of discourse about American politics is that the moral frauds online aggressively lie about Democrats and downplay Republican evil so they could justify not voting, and then desperately try to save face and act like they hold no culpability when Republicans win and kill people. That’s all it ever is.

Just watched the latest episode and I’m genuinely pissed off about Hen’s actions. She absolutely should have been fired. I’m not even sude it’s legal to hide your medical issues and put your team and the public at risk. If she passed out inside the building that kid could have died or been seriously hurt and the department would get sued. Crazy work to try and make that sympathetic at the end.

Telling her Hen would take in her ex’s child without discussing it with Karen first. Visiting Eva continuously in prison (because in season 1, Eva says to Hen it’s been a year since the last visit). Cheating with Eva.

Not involving Karen in the discussions about medical school from the very first moment, instead letting Karen think Hen was cheating again.

Offering to leave her family behind to go with Chimney when he went stalking his girlfriend with his infant child trapped in the back seat. (Though, Karen might not even know about that.)

Dropping out of medical school on a whim after everything her family sacrificed for it for two years. (No really, Hen was working to leave the LAFD, she shouldn’t have taken the job as interim Captain while Bobby was gone. That should have been a learning experience for someone who wasn’t planning to leave the department soon.)

(The whole thing with Ortiz and Mara being taken away isn’t really Hen’s fault. But it is a consequence of something that happened while Hen was working, so emotionally it might be difficult for Karen to always remember it wasn’t Hen’s fault.)

Getting offered to take a holiday off, after she promised her wife to ask about exactly that, and then declining that offer because it would be unfair to her bestie, who’d miss out on the holiday with his daughter. So they’d rather both miss out and leave Karen alone with all three of their kids for the holiday.

Not taking the promotion to captain, again, without discussion. (Or was there one and I forgot about it?) As if all the reasons Hen listed about her family for not taking the promotion weren’t reasons Chimney has as well. That whole argument didn’t make fucking sense, and I can’t imagine that Karen wouldn’t have talked Hen around if they had discussed it.

And now this? Hen has been hiding an illness for months, and then dares to accuse her (and everyone else) of not caring enough for Hen to notice it? All the while, Hen gathered who knows how many debts that their family now has to navigate in addition to navigating the fact that Hen is sick.

I know the show won’t go there, but I hope Karen files for a divorce and finds her happiness with someone who actually values her. I need all the fics about it!

Right? I don’t think we’ve seen chimney outside of a work environment all season. Maybe once or twice? But even when we saw him at home with Maddie he was looking over Captain applications. All this man has been doing is working all season and we know he’s stressed about it.

The audacity to be like hey… what about me :( I know you lost your best friend and you feel responsible and you have a baby at home and a child under five and a whole bunch of new responsibility at work that you don’t really feel capable of… but I lost my friend :( what about me?
