If someone ELSE is holding the physical source of what you’re paying for? YOU DON’T OWN IT. You’re just giving someone your energy and time for permission to access it.

You’re leasing your existence.

It’s bad enough we have to lease our water, our heat, our internet and our entertainment.

Buy what you want outright WHENEVER YOU CAN. Then do anything you can to maintain it in the face of planned obsolescence. I promise you, there will be a moment when you will be glad you did

Because aside from relationships? Things are literally all the system let us keep in this existence so don’t lease your fucking possessions if at all avoidable because at this stage in capitalism we’re all a few bad days from being unable to pay those leases. And then what? Then you only have what you can keep and it is those comforts and necessities that will keep you going, I promise you. Don’t let there be anything more that can be taken from you than absolutely necessary.

I think the main reason why they depicted Kalim bare is based on the Octatrio's imagination since they are merfolks and they are used to not wearing clothing and have no problem seeing others bare without sus behavior.

But seriously, we got Leona topless and now Kalim. Book 4 wasn't part of the anime production and now it makes me think them depicting this scene. I am still wondering how they gonna do with Book 3 with Leona topless. I mean the anime already have slur words, I wondering if it is okay to show it.

Anyways, I am actually looking forward for the next part or 2 of the Scarabia Manga as the overblot plot is getting near. I want to see Jamil's unhinged expression very soon. Also realized Scarabia B is absent. I mean make sense since this part has no Scarabia B present (but I am excited for next part)

Mmm... Personally, I don't think that's the case? We've seen Octavinelle (primarily Azul and Floyd) thinking about Jamil and Kalim before in the same manga, and the Scarabia students are always fully clothed in those instances. They're even wearing different outfits sometimes.
I think that shirtless Kalim frame was more of a dramatic effect thing, especially considering the rings in the background centering on his head (indicating that he's being controlled there). In the context of the panel, the characters were discussing how Kalim is most likely being brainwashed/mind controlled. The art direction and framing might've stripped Kalim down to show he's vulnerable and a victim to someone else's machinations.
I really wonder if the third season will go forward with giving us shirtless Leona 😭 since that's how the manga portrayed it... Shirtless Kalim could easily be skipped over since it's an image in the characters' heads, but Leona not so much since he actually does remove his shirt in the real world. This is, of course, assuming that season 4 of the anime is greenlit (as only seasons 1-3 have so far).
Correction though, the anime doesn't have "slur words", it has curse words. They're not the same. Slurs are derogatory and hostile towards a particular group of people, whereas curses are just generally rude or impolite words like "damn". And certainly, the English dub has added curse words even though the localization doesn't have them, but the JP track is very close to the JP text. (The game's localization scrubbed a lot of the rude language out; the original JP text has characters cursing www)
I think the Scarabia mangaka has been improving in their depiction of the characters; it was a little awkward in the first batch of 4 or so chapters, but I think they're getting better. Should be interesting to see how they depict the more unhinged expressions. And Scarabia B will surely return soon to be mind controlled by Jamil ^^;;

Burger King meanwhile takes in $27 billion in global revenue every single year. everyone involved in making this woman endure this should be tortured and force fed chicken fries until their heart gives out. fuck this country.
