I saw a fantastic fountain on a walk in the park the other day and I swear it looked like it was plucked straight out of Narnia . I just thought it was so beautiful.

And if anyone were to find a fountain in the shape of Aslan in the middle of winter, it would be Lucy.

A poster I made for 1988's Lāčplēsis rockopera from stills taken off the YouTube upload of it, ft. Kangars suffering in the middle as he tends to do.

I just started playing around with gradient maps on Photoshop, and it made Lāčplēsis and Laimdota look like classic storybook illustrations and that made me think oh this needs to be a poster. I'm not sure about the arrangement of the figures, so it's fully possible that I remake this but I like it enough now.

I got a chance to watch the hellboy movie for the first time since I was a kid because I picked up the dvd in a charity shop and like aaahhh he's just so cool, what a brilliant design , and I was already going to practice animating smoke so i though I'd just mash the two together

I think I'm using Narnia fanart as like a way to practice a bunch of art fundamentals I haven't brushed up on in ages, visually those films have so much great inspiration and elements built for some lit compositions.

This might be my favourite so far I really got to push the reference

the only time I've ever drawn children has been for gift cards so I feel a bit out of my depth , in my mind this was supposed to look like those old fairy book illustrations, but artistically I'm not quite there yet , someday I'll draw a child that makes people turn and point and say yeah that really looks like a child

This is the background of my last drawing and I won't even lie I did a great job, I think its really pretty even just on its own I thought I'd post it without the characters.

I think in my mind I like to imagine the white witch from Narnia as a total creature, like full evil, made of snow, ash and hatred type, so here's a little doodle of me trying out a look I've drawn before.

Like she should give me fear chills when I look at her and then make me want to stare because she's shiny.

I made this for me .

Sometimes I think about the period of time in the rock opera Lāčplēsis when Lāčplēsis still has all his friends, before him and Laimdota fall in love, before Kangars gets corrupted by devils and Koknesis gets kidnapped.

I think it must be really lonely to be the hero of an epic , to have everyone depend on you and everyone you love be at risk because of you.

If this were a show it would be the calm before the storm , the time before an all consuming destiny takes over, where they can pretend to be normal people for a while

These are screen grabs from the 1988 Lāčplēsis rock-opera of the characters Laimdota , Lāčplēsis, and Kangars. It's literally the most 80's thing I've ever seen and I love it to pieces, the costume design is iconic.

If anyone ever feels bored I totally recommend hitting up the recording of the rock opera on youtube its so much fun.

I've just had to accept how lame I am because I'm having the time of my life making these.

Ok so walk with me for this one.

I was thinking about a really beautiful modernist vampire meeting like a nosferatu freak type and whether they would get along ?

Like if they were the only two vampires left and were living together what they would get up to, so this is a theoretical comic I will never make called 'Vampires in the Left Tower" and a little like splash art for this comic that doesn't exist

If people have ideas for how these would interact go ham! I might draw a few but im not married to the idea I was just having fun.

I just had a tomatoe from my plate skid off onto my phone screen and change the song I'm listening to to "rushed lovers by girl in red."

Of course the tomatoe listens to girl in red.
