Some of you think of Cops as kind of a symbolic figure representing “telling you what to do” & you’re Posting things like “acab includes fandom discourse” and I thuink the 80% white website needs to remember the reason why we hate cops is because they kill people
We hate cops because they’re a weapon for enforcing the state’s interests through violence. Like, they kill & imprison people. The antis don’t have a Quite Literal boot on your neck please god log off or talk to a Black person or something
To be SO fair like really generous there is something to be said for unlearning the habit of figuratively “policing” other people especially in the context of, like, not being a fucking snitch, “kill the cop in your head” etc etc, but can we not completely lose the plot re: what cops Are
I think I just found the only reasonable exchange involving two people with opposing views on porn to ever exist on this website
actually so based
“there is no platonic explanation for this–”
I fell asleep in my friends’ arms. It was eleven at night, we were tired, curled up in a small pile on my tiny bed. I had my head buried in my roommate’s side, and one of my closest friend’s hand on my shoulder, steadying me. It was quiet and nothingness and peace and their heartbeats in my ears, my hands in their hair.
“there is no platonic explanation for this–”
We pack four people to that little bed, you know. Laps used as footrests, collarbones as pillows, little lights like moonlight in rustic yellow bathed on their faces. The TV plays an anime. The words are repeated by my dear friend on my shoulder, curled close. My legs are asleep; my roommate may be, too.
“there is no platonic explanation for this–”
The cat curls on top of our criss cross mess of legs and arms and heads on chests to absorb the warmth of us all. She purrs in contented peace. When my roommate and I are left alone in the quiet, she cries, and watches the door for our friends’ return.
“there is no platonic explanation for this–”
I will never kiss them but the top of their heads. I will never touch but the warmth of their arms. I will never take more than what’s freely given, and in return I put my glasses on the bedside table fashioned from a guitar amp, and when I lean into their sides, I pick up my vulnerability and place it in their capable, tender hands.
“there is no platonic explanation for this–”
I sing for them. I cry for them. I work and I run and I withstand the worst of the world for them, because some days I get to cradle their forehead on my shoulder and some days I get to see their shining eyes.
“there is no platonic explanation for this–”
Maybe to you. But look beyond explanation. I love them. With my heart in my unsteady hands, with my nose pressed to the side of their head, with the buzzing in my feet and the warmth all around Iike the sunset pushing into the window.
“there is no platonic explanation for this–”
Is it enough to say I love them? With no strings attached? With reckless abandon and utter devotion and freedom and kindness and fear?
“there is no platonic explanation for this–”
I cannot explain it any clearer. I love my friends. There is no more to say.
DO NOT CALL THE REGULAR POLICE.
they are not on your side.
Very explicitly, in the video, the regular police straight up lie to the couple, telling them they will go to jail for harboring a fugitive if they dont hand the doordasher over, and that it doesnt matter if ice has a warrant for her arrest. NEITHER OF THESE THINGS ARE TRUE. You CANNOT be harboring a fugitive if the person you are haboring doesnt have a warrant out for their arrest! The warrant is what makes them a fugitive!
If ice wants access to someone on your property, do NOT hand them over unless you are shown a warrant signed by a judge! Make as much noise as you can to attract bystanders - it was the fact that a crowd gathered and started yelling at them that made ice leave in the video. And DO NOT expect the regular police to help you - they are just another arm of the state and will only do or say whatever they think is necessary to make you comply.
And make sure you film everything so you have evidence of what really happened if ice tries to enter your property illegally.
The Hiveworks Artist Guild has released a public statement alleging years of labor abuses, financial mismanagement, and misconduct at Hiveworks at the hands of Xellette “Xel” Velamist and Isabelle “Isa” Melançon. Read their full statement HERE
Attached image is their logo, no credit (artists asked to not be credited).
Hey remember the Tigers books one crowdfunding that Hiveworks handled years ago? I’m still waiting to be paid for it.
This was one of the many reasons why I left Hiveworks this year. Thank you for the artists guild, and cartoonist coop for the tremendous help during this time. Tigers would not habe survived without your help.
If you want to support the artists affected by Hiveworks mismanagement, a bunch of us made a collective called Chimera Comics!
i think the most upsetting thing about american-flavor puritanism is how fucking patronizing it is. it’s 2026 but the whole world still has to deal with a cultural hegemony grown from the gnarled vestiges of victorian-era paternalism. tax-paying adults with passports and the right to vote are treated like wayward children because of the antiquated idea that authorities must protect the weak minds of the unwashed masses from depravity and corruption. the average american can send a fellow citizen to the chair, but they can’t piss in a ditch without being declared an outlaw. american entertainment media is saturated with sex, but you can’t talk about it online without getting your account suspended. it’s such blatant censorship at a universal scale, but because sexual content is framed as inherently dangerous, this restriction on basic adult autonomy, this blanket denial of moral and intellectual adulthood, can be reframed as protection, an expression of care, a moral duty. “won’t someone think of the children!” I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN!
thank god that the video game that features slow motion animations of graphic gunshot wounds and is rated 18+ has a profanity filter in single player offline mode. thank you for protecting this 33 year old mind from the corrupting influence that is a horse named apple slut
guys….,, being friends, like actual friends, with people you have systemic privilege over is going to involve some good-natured ribbing. it’s going to involve them complaining about [insert privileged group you belong to] in front of you or even to you. that’s not a personal attack, it’s because they think you’re cool enough to hang. it’s because they think they can express their frustration to you without you attacking them. you really want to prove them wrong?

doubly funny that I saw a compilation of all the corporate accounts like “aw thanks elmo, we’re doing well” meanwhile all the flesh and blood real human people are extremely not okay
Okay but Elmo had actually the best and sweetest response to all this trauma dumping:
And then all the other Sesame Street character accounts joined in:
And now I’m thinking maybe we’re gonna be okay… 💗
(Comment compilation from this Twitter)
I kinda feel for the poor person running Elmo’s Twitter.
“So, boss… I may have messed up.”
“What did you do, Ray?”
“Well, I made a post for Elmo saying ‘Hi, how’s everybody doing?’”
“I mean, that’s kind of what we pay you for.”
“Yeah, but…. <sigh> it turns out pretty much everyone is hanging on by a thread, badly enough that they needed to tell Elmo.”
“Oh.”
“God help me, boss, I think Elmo needs to be there for them.”
“Get the others.”
this is the energy that jim henson would be proud of.
and important addition
Always reblog this. Elmo and his friends will be there in your times of trial and doubt, to help you through your torment
At a certain point accusations of being “male socialised” or having a “male ego” that are regularly thrown at transfems start to feel less like misguided transmisogyny and more like coordinated attempts to shut us up.
Don’t be too loud
Don’t be too confident
Don’t be too funny
Don’t be too sexual
Don’t be too angry
Don’t express discomfort with anything
If you or any transfem does any of these things in any context, it’s only because of your male upbringing that you feel so confident to be angry or loud.
A few months after I started transitioning I had a complete breakdown about this. I was so worried about how the ways in which I was raised would affect how I interact with others. Do I have some innate male confidence I need to destroy? This came after reading a lot of the borderline-terf rhetoric that spreads in the trans community about trans women.
After I while I discovered transfeminist writing that helped me understand my place in the world for really the first time. And then I thought, wait my childhood didn’t instil within me any kind of confidence. When I was a kid I was scared of everything, bullied, abused, terrified to speak up and completely unable to relate to any of the boys surrounding me.
It occurs to me that accusations of being male socialised are a particularly useful tool to stop transfems from discussing any of the discrimination or violence we face from non-transfem people. Any kind of advocating for yourself as a transfem can be shut down using this rhetoric.
It’s the complete flattening down of any of the complexity or interiority of transfeminine life for the benefit of shutting down conversations about transmisogyny. It’s a subtle way to say that transfems basically had the same exact upbringing as cis boys. It’s a way of portraying a confident trans woman who stands up for herself as secretly harbouring the same potential for violence that a cis man has.
And once again, like a lot of transmisogynistic sentiment, I don’t see people outright saying these things but rather implying it for plausible deniability.
Quite infuriating if I’m honest.
