this app is actually useless because nobody on it told me about netflix’s knockout of an animated ya show full of digital mindscapes and morally grey characters and stunning action sequences and the blurring of human-machine boundaries and and and

🕯️ manifesting penguin clothbound classic editions of scythe one day 🕯️

for the first book, a pattern of little scythes (duh) and/or skulls would be perfect. the design could even incorporate the hooded grim reaper robe somehow.

i don’t think the other two books would or even should be considered classics, but if they were, thunderhead should have a design that invokes the mechanical, like a lattice of circuit board traces or something. fluffy cumulonimbus clouds would be fitting too. the toll would need tuning fork imagery and waveform patterns or some other allusion to sound vibrations.

the colors of the original covers are perfect to keep. scythe gets ivory and red; thunderhead gets black and turquoise; the toll gets grey and periwinkle.
