Chat how are we feeling about Robert having a hip down leg tattoo? (I don't know if that's the actual real name for that placement of the tattoo.. it's like, starting on the hip and going down the leg until the mid thigh but on the side/?)
My idea is that the tattoo in question is of flames. The lore would be that (in my AU) Robert used to work under a dispatcher back in the first few years of being Mecha Man before he went solo, he was (and still is) good friends with his old team + his dispatcher.
They go out clubbing and drinking together from time to time, in one of those times, they were drunk and joking around, it was when Mecha Man's and Flambae (one sided) nemesis situationship was already a well established joke in the group, and Roberts's friends were joking that Robert should get a tattoo honoring his nemesis “If you show him next time you fight maybe he'll finally grow the balls to actually ask you out rather than flirt-fight your ass”.
And Robert is like, “You know what? Fuck it.”, he has actually been looking into getting another tattoo (he has a couple more, I'm still deciding what designs and placements those would get) and he doesn't think the idea is that bad, so long as they can find a design he likes.
Cue the gang scavenging through pinterest for a good enough design.
One of them ends up finding the design: big colored flames that starts on the side of his mid-thigh, goes up his leg and ends on his hip, it's three flames, one bigger, other medium size and a small one.
The friend says that it could be colored in blue tones rather than the red ones to match Robert's aesthetic more, he likes it as it is and asks if they could send him the picture. His friends believe that the whole thing ends there, as a joke. Only to get absolutely godsmaked when Robert comes in next week with a brand new tattoo wrapped up and done on his left leg under the suit.
The sad thing about all of this? That "next time" was the fight where Flambae lost his fingers. Robert never got to show him the tattoo.
Fast forward to now, Flambae sees the tat randomly and goes feral.
He has been training Robert back into shape, making him take "process pictures" every two weeks. It's a slip really, Robert accidentally pulled his shorts a bit too down when getting his hoodie up to take the picture, down enough where the tip of the flames are slightly noticeable. Flambae sees it and asks about it, Robert (being the shameless man that he is), shoves the left side of his shorts and boxers down enough for Flambae to see the tattoo in full display and glory. Ensues the hornyness.
