One of the worst parts ab Soul Eater Not is how much it doesn’t prepare you for the amount of information you receive if you don’t read the Soul Eater manga.

Luckily I did read the manga before I started SEN but like, to me it somehow manages to have the same issues that Soul Eater’s anime had when it came to adapting the source material… but worse

SEN didn’t adapt all of its manga’s chapters like Soul Eater (history book on the shelf is constantly repeating itself or whatever) and ON TOP OF THAT they take bits and pieces of the Soul Eater Manga’s lore… but not all of it??? It’s rly weird, they pick and choose what they wanna make canon idk.

I understand that the original Soul Eater anime adaptation had caught up to the manga and —rather than choosing to go on hiatus— chose to finish the story but idk if that’s the case for SEN since it was developed by a different studio

There’s a whole list of inconsistencies and changes to the anime that bug me knowing how if you aren’t familiar with the content of either manga and go in blind, you’d be hella confused and wonder if it’s even the same story. I’ve lowk wanted to talk ab this for a while because of the list of reasons I see people hating Soul Eater Not, I don’t see much discussion on this (maybe I’m not looking hard enough lmao)

In honor of pride month I want to share that I firmly believe that a Fem!Sylus would be a butch/masc woman.

She’d pretty much would look nearly identical to and wear the same outfits normal Sylus would wear (though I think she wouldn’t be against the idea of wearing dresses too! She’s a very versatile and high-class lady! She’ll do as she pleases)
