This is the open source project of the now greatly enhanced Enterprise solution which has professional support, is faster, smarter and has lots more functionality. T-Plan Robot (formerly VNCRobot), is the most flexible and universal black box automated testing tools on the market. This project is the former open source version, and is now superseded by T-Plan Robot Enterprise. Robot is platform independent (Java), and thus performs well in situations where other tools may fail. Robot runs on and automates all major systems e.g. Windows, Linux and Unix, plus mobile platforms, such as IOS and Android. The product has the same functionality, look and feel regardless of OS, and your scripts are completely transferable between platforms. Utilising remote desktop technologies, together with image based testing principles, T-Plan Robot provides a human-like approach to software testing from the end-user GUI perspective. It is a part of the research project ATCC developed in Parallels-NSU lab. Here you can find selenium_manager and remote_agent applications. They work with SeleniumRC Jenkins plugin.

Automated UI Tester for Adobe® ActionScript® is a pure ActionScript 3.0 SWF automation testing tool with the capability of recording user actions on an SWF file and playing them back with high fidelity. The API for this tool is provided with name “Genie” (Adobe internal code name for the tool). Some major features of this tool are • No instrumentation or application manipulation is required. • Automate pure ActionScript 3.0 SWF. • No source code access required. • No need to run inside any wrapper. • Works on web based apps and standalone SWF. • Performs native automation (no image dependency) thus making scripts reliable and lowering down maintenance cost. • Application can even be running in background. Unlike other automation tools, automating don't require instrumentation of an app or to run inside a HTML wrapper. Also it can automate pure Flash or ActionScript applications (e.g. Flash Games). This framework supports a wide variety of model-based GUI testing techniques. The innovation lies in the architecture of GUITAR, which uses plug-ins to support flexibility and extensibility. Jameleon is a data-driven automated testing tool that is easily extensible via plug-ins. Features of applications are automated in Java and tied together independently in XML, creating self-documenting automated test cases.

I am often asked to start a new Selenium (http://seleniumhq.org/) test automation project. Reinventing the wheel each time sucks. Everything in this SF project are various tips & tricks that I figured out over time. Each of the files under net.sourceforge.sebase.demos is a proof of concept (POC) to get a different technology to work with Selenium.

VM with ready to run Axway ATS Framework examples

Performance test engine written in Java and exposed as a fluent API for writing JUnit tests. Perftence can also be used without JUnit by using perftence-api distribution package. Full test results are provided in html, which can published directly with different CI's (e.g. Jenkins/Hudson). Runtime test statistics are also provided through logging (e.g. using slf4j-log4j and log4j). Pertence tool can also be used for finding out threading issues. Just write a test that uses the component you need to test for threading issues and assign load of threads to the test. Thanks to my employer (Nokia) for letting me publish the initial version of this tool as open-source!
